A beautiful house set in private well established gardens.
Gorgeous Victorian interior. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable.
Very welcoming and helpful host.
5 min walk to the park & 10 mins into town.
Would recommend to friends.
All was wonderful.
A lovely room and friendly staff.
Nice location and good room.
Some rooms have no en-suite. Poor internet.
Location was great. Beautiful building.
Breakfast was very poor.
Camera molto spaziosa, pulitissima e fornita di ogni comfort! La struttura è davvero bella immersa in una splendida collina con parco privato. La posizione è ottima perché centrale, ma garantisce tranquillità. Colazione abbondante. Consigliatissimo!!!
Nulla
Great hotel for our overnight, our granchildren were able to run iff steam in the well cared for he grounds.
The location and gardens are beautiful. The room was large and the balcony looking over the gardens was great. The bathroom was clean and there were lots of towels and toiletries. The shower was also powerful with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was very good. Water provided in the room as the tap water isn't drinkable is thoughtful.
The bed was okay but felt a little too soft and I prefer softer mattresses. The decorative cushions, extra blankets and super thick duvet were a bit much for August, even in Scotland but we managed to throw the extra things off and slept reasonably well. The bedroom and bathroom are both quite dimly lit so doing make up was a challenge.
Before referring to what was not good about this hotel, the positives are the location, handy for the A7 and on the edge of Hawick, we used it as a base for exploring the Borders. The staff at breakfast were polite and attentive, and they are a credit to the hotel (more than can be said for the man on reception). Bed was comfy.
We arrived to be 'greeted' by a grumpy man on reception, who did not greet us with any kind of civil hello, and simply said 'name', we felt we were an inconvenience, and thankfully we did not see him again during the rest of our stay.
The other issue was the level of cleaning in the room, which was a suite that had a kitchen area. Food from the previous guests was in the fridge when we arrived (clearly fridge had not been cleaned), and the cupboards below sink had cobwebs, there were also cobwebs on the ceiling lights and skylight.
Comfortable room in a lovely property with attractive grounds. Situated opposite Wilton Lodge Park and a short walk to Hawick Museum and the town centre. Welcoming hosts, private car parking, good breakfast.
Only 2 clothes hangers in the room.
Our flight was delayed and they kindly stayed and waited for us. The room was big enough and the beds comfy.
Beautiful rooms and excellent breakfasts.
Easy access to town centre.
Helpful and friendly hosts.
Nothing.
Het bed was prima
Niet echt een levendige buurt.
