Great location, lovely decor and thoughtful touches like the sleep packs in the room.
Breakfast was great and accommodating of fussy eater
Late check in process could have been clearer before arriving at property. However once we phoned and were talked through what to do it was brilliant
Nice room, friendly staff and excellent food.
It a great place in the village and nicely done out. Great outside area.
Food was good.
We didn’t get the room we booked!
Booked a twin room! Ended up with a sofa bed in a double room as extra bed which was extremely hard also could feel all of the frame work through the mattress so got very little sleep. Very disappointed.
Some of the staff very disappointing and certainly need training as either avoided servicing us when we arrived!
And one was obviously very new as when asked anything replied it’s not my job or I’ve not been trained to do that! That was actually when my husband told her the phone had been ringing for ages. Then a member of staff came out of the kitchen and picked the phone up out of the holder and put it back down again.
We have stayed over the years a number of times but this time was very disappointing apart from the food.
The hotel was lovely and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was excellent.

Room was lovely and they even gave puppy a goodie bag which was lovely
Breakfast was amazing
Other bar meals were nice
Staff were all very friendly , and loved our toy cockerpoo Brodie 6 months old
Nothing it's a beautiful place
Nothing bad to say at all
Room really comfortable and good "extras" - Lavazza coffee machine great, good selection of teas, horlicks, biscuits, etc.
Also great selection of beers in the bar and cannot fault the staff for their friendliness and efficiency.
Dinner OK but hiding 8 chips under the fish not great. Breakfast OK but toast under scrambled egg completely soggy and inedible and "locally sourced black pudding" looked and tasted like every other mass produced black pudding that I would get anywhere else in the country.
Brilliant Breakfast
Bed cover had a stain on it.
Very do friendly, good range of real ale
All good
Great breakfast, good selection of drinks, clean, comfortable room, good location.
Evening meal choice was a bit heavy. Room very hot and humid.
very clean and comfy, amazing breakfast

Lovely old building, great location and excellent breakfast ordered and served to the table.
Excellent service and food.
Great place to stay. Nice clean room. Staff available when needed. Massive beer garden. Big car park.. Nice walk down the coast to Morecambe. Would stay again
Food can be hit and miss depending on how busy they are and a little expensive for what you do get but can probably expect that for the atmosphere itself.
Everything really
Could do with air conditioning in room and restaurant
We always love the friendliness, the location, and our dog loves all the extra attention, too. Food is good too.
Nothing to dislike at all.
