Friendly staff
Was relatively expensive
Good choice at breakfast, both hosts and staff very helpful. Island View B+B in good position for visits to Bamburgh, Holy Island, Berwick and Kelso over the border.

The B&B is in an ideal location just at the side of the A1. The staff are very friendly.
The room was clean and tidy and the beds were comfortable. The shower was very good.
The only thing which put me off, was being told on checking in, that all the full English Breakfast items were already cooked and all they had to prepare were the eggs. I prefer my food to be freshly cooked, consequently, I opted for the poached eggs on toast, but that's my personal preference. A little disappointing.

Evening meals offered are not really suitable for those requiring gluten free. Easy to get to Berwick though.

A very homely venue. Conveniently located on tha A1, with easy access to both and north attractions.
The owners were very attentive and could do no more to accommodate every guest reasonable wishes.
Simon and Sarah were excellent hosts.

Host were fabulous they were very informative, helpful and pleasant.
Bed comfy, room basic but fine, had excellent nights sleep despite being nect to A1 . Breakfast excellent catered for what we required . Few miles out of Berwick but that was ok.
Towels were very stiff. Lighting not good in room . Extractor fan from kitchen below extremely loud and could be heard in room.
Our journey in was difficult with the sat nav taking us to the wrong place. Apparently you need to search for the Cat Inn ( former name of property) its right off the A1. Missleading name for property you could proberbly only see the Islands if you stood on the roof.
Very welcoming staff, informative and helpful. Totally excellent breakfast, we had a good night's sleep, in exceptionally comfortable beds. The room was very clean, cosy and perfect for our needs, ample parking space! Highly recommended and good value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Tasty breakfast
Being of a certain age, when b&b’s always had staff present, I was taken aback to find this wasn’t the case (after we booked). However speaking with Simon at breakfast we can fully understand the reasoning why (in this recent economy). Please ensure you ask if restaurant/bar will be open for your visit.
Ideal location, very close to Lindisfarne Castle and Bamborough Castle. Perfect stay for NC500 riders, either starting or ending. The room was very comfortable and silent for a great sleep. The pub is absolutely great, also the breakfast was awesome. The most important was the attention from Simon. He makes you feel at home, from checking the tides for Lindisfarne to recommending where to park the motorcycle in the propertoes' VERY spacious parking lot.

Excellent and very friendly
Good breakfast, friendly staff. Clean room with beautiful view. The locals who came to the bar were very friendly and helpful with local information. Good location for Holy Island.
Didn't do enough research, so was a bit isolated for Berwick town. No dinner was available Saturday night as other guests were all out and no one in bar
Would highly recommend to come by or hire a car.
