Great base for a short break in Austin. Downtown location with excellent staff and a good rooms.
Pros:

Outstanding staff in all roles and at all levels. The rest was typical Hyatt House. We had a 1 One-Bedroom Specialty King Suite with Kitchen which worked perfectly for a six night stay. Breakfast was very good and the room was light and airy and constantly kept clean and free from debris. Location was very good too particularly for access to the University of Texas, Bullock museum and art galleries.

Cons:

Nothing I didn't like but the range of breakfast goods could have been broader and have more daily variation. The bar menu in the evening could have been a little more adventurous too.

Very good place to stay in Austin

This is a top notch Hyatt House. It’s a busy breakfast place and they handled everything very well. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I liked the accessibility and the friendliness of the staff

Cons:

The paid parking was atrocious. I don’t understand how a hotel in the middle of downtown can’t get some free spaces for its guests. This soured the experience immensely.

Nice hotel generally but not the best location for a solo traveller there as a tourist.
Pros:

The staff were friendly and helpful, rooms clean and breakfast was nice.

Cons:

The location is a little tricky as a solo traveller due to the amount of homeless around the hotel.
Each day means walking past some not so pleasant people (approached me, swore, screamed). Although not bad if you are headed to the Capitol Building. Walking sixth street alone wasn't fun at all.

Also, the aircon unit in the room was very old, loud too.
