Court yard rooms were so exposed to lots of other rooms no privacy at all. No instant coffees to use and bought expensive coffee from reception was undrinkable !!!!!! Noice was high

Corridors smelt, room was very small, bed ridiculously tiny, pink mould / algae on tiles around the shower.

The construction noise of the Jack Hamer was relentless. Our guests had to leave the premises as it was sooooo loud and vibrated through the building. Yes, we were warned that there is construction in the area but this was beyond reasonable. Had we been aware we would NOT of stayed. The cleaning staff need some instruction. Mould in showers, musty damp smell in hallway. Balcony was dirty & dusty ( yes from construction) however we choose the room so we could use the extra space. Still it could have had a daily service.
Shower wasn't very clean
The hotel was excellent value for money - however it seemed like the AIRCON switched off midway through the evening.

Great location, awesome food on James street and walking distance to valley music hall.
Shower pressure, directions to parking were very unclear. Google Gorman clothing store fortitude valley, parking is in-between Gorman store and QA hotel. Parking is $40 for 24 hours.
Check-in was smooth and I appreciated the staff storing my bags for me. The bed was reasonably comfortable and the location was perfect for what I needed.
The construction noise was ridiculous. Yes, we were warned there would be disruption, but that warning did not come close to reflecting how loud and constant it would be. It seriously affected the entire stay.
At check-in, I was told I’d been “upgraded” to a better room because of the construction. Calling it an upgrade was a stretch. The room felt like a dungeon, with barely any natural light and a balcony boxed in by four tall walls that amplified the construction noise. I couldn’t even enjoy sitting outside.
Being warned about construction doesn’t make the actual experience any less unacceptable. I travel to Brisbane regularly for work and had planned to stay here multiple times, but this stay has completely put me off. I expected far better and don't believe I'll be returning which is a shame.
