TV wasn't working the whole time, electrical prob in area, Staff unable to fix or give a discount for next visit or anything to comp for the lack of TV service.
Comfy bed, good pillows and shower.
Construction next door from 6:30am to 5pm. wifi didn't work most of my stay, coffee machine didn't work
The staff on our first night were fantastic. There is not much else good to speak of. I have requested a partial refund and haven't had a response
We had a black out on our second night. There was no proactive approach by their team. We had to go out to the lobby to see if it was just our room or if it was everyone. It was everyone. We then couldn't stay in our room as there was no aircon. Whilst I appreciate it's not their fault the service around it and follow up was minimal. The parking was awful and not really accessible or reasonably priced.
It was dirty in the room and bathroom. There was a strong odour in the corridor and room, and contestant construction noise. I didn’t stay and requested a refund which I’m waiting on.
I did not like very much my overall stay was very poor. Still in dispute with them for a refund. They did not communicate how much noise there would be at the hotel. Very dissapointed
The noise levels were so inconveniencing. I travelled for quiet time away from my kids and that was not achieved. The room also had flooding and Sage took no responsibility for this. I had to check out earlier and spend more money getting another place (Amora hotel) that was much better. I wish I went there first.
. Unfortunately, during the stay there was a power outage which continued into the evening, and we were quite disappointed with how the situation was handled.
We had to make our way back up to our room in complete darkness, and our room was without power for a period of time. We completely understand that power outages can sometimes be outside of the hotel’s control; however, there didn’t seem to be any assistance, communication or acknowledgement offered to guests during the disruption.
This was particularly disappointing as the stay was booked as a special night away for my partner’s birthday, and it did impact the experience we had planned.
Given the circumstances, I was hoping the hotel may be able to offer some form of compensation or gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience caused.
The Hotel was having significant IT issues when I arrived, and they did the very best they could to still ensure a smooth check in, the lovely girl on the front desk was really lovely and really did her best at what would have been a stressful time.
Emplacement
The hotel is well located on James Street, there are a number of great restaurants and cafes within a short walk from the hotel which is great.
The room was ok, but for the price it did not meet my expectation, and the next tier up (balcony room) was significantly more expensive. There are construction works happening opposite which is not an issue at night, but was noisy when trying to work early morning. They messed up my check in, have charged me twice, have not administered a refund and I am still waiting for a tax receipt despite requesting it 3 times.
