0 star. Extremely disappointing experience. My parents were assigned a room directly next to a machine/mechanical room, and the noise was so loud that they simply could not sleep.

They immediately asked the front desk to change rooms but were told the hotel was fully booked. The hotel offered to move them the next day, but provided no compensation at all for the first night. The noise was so unbearable that my father eventually had to sleep on the bathroom floor, while my mother tried to sleep covered with some of her clothes and became sick afterward.

I understand that a hotel can be fully booked, but it is unacceptable to charge the full price for a room that is effectively unsuitable for sleeping. I called the hotel afterward, but they refused any compensation and were dismissive about the situation.

Moving them the next day does not make the first night acceptable. Providing guests with a reasonable place to sleep is the most basic responsibility of a hotel. Very disappointing.

An incredible short stay
Pros:

Room spacious. Bed very comfortable. Parking available at a cheaper rate. Restaurant and bar available onsite. Close proximity to Rue Sainte Catherine and about half hour walk to Vieux Montreal. Plenty to see, eat and enjoy.
