The setting is stunning.
Service Staff pleasant
I cannot think of anything else
BUT Attic rooms have no window whatsoever. You are not advised of this when booking.
You cannot enjoy the view. Specifically booked to coincide with 30th Wedding Anniversary and hotel advised well in advance. No acknowledgement on arrival and no quiet table as requested for our celebratory dinner.
Food is of a reasonable standard but is nothing of note and be ware it arrives very much on the cool side - every meal.
Rooms have no tea/coffee facilities. The mini bar has no wine or spirits and in the room you have only water glasses.
In attic room there is no lighting for makeup and the toiletries provided are miniatures and not replenished.
Reception staff are rude and curt - though service staff are pleasant.
This is NOT a five star venue. I privately approached the venue with my disappointment but they never even acknowledged my email despite promptly replying to other enquiries I made before my stay.
I would never recommend nor return much much better places to spend this kind of money.

The property’s small scale (I’d guess no kore than 30 guests at a time) made for highly personalized service and staff getting to know our preferences and routine. Francesco, Cher Vincenzo, and Pierre were especially welcoming hosts and elevated our experience.
We stayed in the Exec Suite, which was great for our family of 4 (two small kids) and the grounds have plenty of space for running around (or having a small family wedding!).
Absolutely no complaints. Some folks may wish for a bit more basic gear in the workout room (yoga mats, jump rope) and a hot tub would be great!

The most beautiful place I have ever visited! We went here for our honeymoon and truly felt like royalty. They took such good care of us from the second we walked in to the moment we got in the taxi to leave. I can’t say enough good things about this place. If you are even thinking about booking here, do it!!

I had asked in advance to prepare a cake for my son’s birthday, and we were greeted with one of the most delicious desserts we’ve ever had.
Dinner was excellent ,the cuisine deserves special praise, and the chef is truly talented. Everything was absolutely flawless!
