The trash in the bunkhouse could have been emptied more regularly
Nice cafe
Slept on the floor because the beds were actively painful for my girlfriend. Staff did not help.
The room and the bed is comfy, but I haven’t received the deposit refund after almost a month since I checked out!!!
Mir haben die Badezimmer im Hostel und die Schlafboxen gefallen.
Ich habe eine größere/ besser ausgestattete Küche im Hostel vermisst.
The property once you’re inside is beautiful. I love the Photo Booth and the cafe on site.
The location is sketchy. We had our 1 yr old with us and ended up moving hotels halfway through our stay because it didn’t feel safe to walk there from the parking lot.
I liked the location of the hotel and its proximity to the downtown area and the affordable rates and the simplicity.
I liked the proximity to public transportation.
I also liked the $10 flat fee for all-day luggage storage.
The bunk room was not a good fit because of the lack of privacy and the cramped bunk and the dark room.
The storage lockers were on the opposite side of the bunk room from my bunk.
The lockers were not secure because the doors lock but do not close all the way.
The next time I stay in Portland I would rent a private room.
Victoria on the night shift was above & beyond friendly, helpful, and understanding. Very grateful.
Very pretty and friendly staff
I liked it it was quaint
Homeless people everywhere
Coffee shop downstairs.
No nightstands for our CPAPs.
It's a fantastic historical building that is kept very clean. The barista, Jasmin is always there to greet me with a smile, kind words, and the best cup of coffe money can buy in these parts...Cafe Vita roast from Seattle! My favorite!
Victoria is usually the night person here and she is the best hotel host I have ever encountered! She actually runs a Portland city tour on the weekends, so you can only imagine how much information of the city she has blessed me with! She always is smiling in every situaion, even when I have witnessed not so nice guests try to have their way. Victoria is a master at defusion and making any situation into a good one!
The entire staff is great! So nice and welcoming! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Portland!
Nothing
Love this hotel for what it is/where it is/the value…but the staff made it an absolutely exceptional experience. Not only did they go above and beyond during my stay, but they contacted me within two hours of departing to let me know they found two items of mine that most housekeepers would have just tossed in the trash or put in their pocket! SO happy with the service and care!
The windows don’t open, but that’s part of the deal—and very clearly explained in the room book/hotel guide. The rooftop deck is extraordinary, if you ever need a breath of fresh air
Staff very friendly and helpful.
