Friendly staff with a good amount of English making the check in/ check out process nice and easy. Room is cleaned every 3 days at a preferred time which is appreciated.
The room has good air-conditioning so it's great when trying to hide from that August heat.
The TV was quite small with only a few channels the majority seeming to not work at all, not a big deal as you're usually not in the hotel room anyway but a slightly newer TV preferably a smart TV that has access to youtube would be a big improvement to the experience within the room itself.
The washing machine/dryer costs 700 yen to use accepting 100 yen coins. I found the price to be quite expensive for this and also slightly tedious to go get 7 100 yen coins.

The room cards were made of wood, which is very cool! I also appreciate the large manga bookshelf where I found my favourite Slamdunk comic, albeit in Japanese. The room had many useful amenities in it and the toilet space is decent.
Our Moderate Double Room was small for two people and my girlfriend’s big luggage ended up claiming part of the bed. I was also unable to work on my laptop since the tiny desk only allowed for one person at a time. There was a convoluted cleaning schedule to follow if we are staying for more than 3 days. On the second night, a staff told my girlfriend to cut fruits on the lobby seats which is dangerous, whereas I was allowed to properly cut fruits in the restaurant kitchen on the first night.
