Cons:

Não avisaram antes que a piscina estava em reforma. Ficamos lá 4 dias e o elevador não funcionou. Estacionamento pequeno e não comporta os carros.

Really holidays at Porto Montenegro

Beautiful hotel, well located at Porto Montenegro Boulevard, facing the sea, with stunning views and a quiet and exquisite Beach Club. Spacious rooms and very kind staff at reception, cleaning and lifeguard. Fantastic breakfast. Good for 3* hotel, but far from 5*
Pros:

The only thing that matches the standard of a 5-star hotel is the size of the room.

Cons:

There are many things to be improved:

1 - awful smell from the sink in the bathroom. It was so bad, that being in the bathroom was almost impossible: my eyes began to water and bitter taste appeared in my mouth. I never experienced anything like this.

2 - of course the smell was spreading around to the room, what can’t be solved by air conditioning. Unfortunately opening windows made it only worse, because of a strong diesel smell…

3 - I guess the diesel smell is linked to regular power outages. The electricity could cut out at any moment, and when it came back on, all the lights in the room would also turn on automatically. We experienced it a few times during every night of our stay in the hotel.

4 - the staff in the hotel restaurant were busy with anything but serving guests. Even though there were more waiters than guests, we spent two hours on breakfast because no one simply came over to us.

5 - the breakfast food was very mediocre. It felt like they had decided to cut costs on ingredients and bought cheap, plastic-like vegetables from the nearest supermarket.

6 - entering the water isn't safe. The ladder is made of metal pipes welded right up against the wall; it’s impossible to step on them without slipping. Because of this, I had to give up on swimming. Couldn't they just build a proper way to get into the water? I’m sure it would cost next to nothing.

It was the first vacation of my life when I couldn't wait for it to end.

מיקום מצויין .החדר היה מרווח מאוד . והגישה לים נוחה המלון ממש על הים ויש ירידה מסודרת כולל מיטות שיזוף מסודרות . הנוף לים מהמם .

הבריכה בגג מאוד קטנה ומקורה . היה ריח של ביוב בלובי. אין מיזוג במסדרון . מרפסת קטנה מאוד .

Disappointing late evenings
Pros:

Great location
Great breakfast if a little slow service ( everything arrives together) no matter what you’ve ordered
The main issue is the late night ( local folk ) music directly outside and under the sea view rooms .. it’s utterly dreadful and so loud it’s impossible to sleep and when you’ve paid €330 per night that’s not acceptable
We’re waiting for a management response despite this being the second night with no sleep before midnight

Fantastic. Will def come back again!
Pros:

The hotel was fantastic! Room was so so spacious and elegant. Staff was beyond friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again. The entire area where the hotel is located is beautiful. The lady at the reception ( I think her name was Andja) was incredible and so sweet.

A good hotel with an excellent location, but improvements are needed
Pros:

Location is excellent. The ladies at the reception desk were consistently polite and helpful. Biljana in particular arranged various things for us, which we really appreciated. I also had the best massage, given by Suzan, who has many years of experience and definitely deserves a special mention.

Cons:

The main issue is the price-quality ratio. We paid €500+ per night for a Deluxe Double Room with sea view and breakfast (during high season). At this price, we expected a significantly higher standard.

1/ Breakfast: The à la carte breakfast was disappointing. On our first morning, we waited around one hour for a simple order. We tried several options during our stay and unfortunately something was wrong with almost every dish. “Fresh avocado” was actually guacamole, the poached eggs were not runny, and the vegetarian omelette consisted mainly of cheese. The morning staff also did not greet guests, even when greeted first.
2/ Room: Our toilet did not flush properly, the air conditioning was quite loud, and the connecting doors were poorly soundproofed. We could clearly hear our neighbours talking early in the morning. The in-room coffee machine only provides filter coffee, which feels rather basic for this price category.
3/ Beach: Only one towel per person is provided for the sunbeds by the sea. When we asked for an additional towel to dry ourselves after swimming, we were told this was “against the rules”. This felt unnecessarily restrictive for a hotel at this price level.

Beautiful interior and exterior; truly felt like luxury! And I absolutely loved our balcony with the ocean view.

The bathroom gets a little musty and could use more ventilation.
