It’s a room only Hotel but the room could not be better.
Real coffee, breakfast snacks and every thought put into comfort. The staff were very welcoming and all facilities were perfect. It is right in the middle of Lancaster within easy walking distance of great pubs and restaurants, and good shopping the next day!
I will definitely stay here again.
There was nothing to dislike.
The atmosphere and the staff just welcome you like family. i've forgotten the young man and young lady but their both a credit to the royal hotel and bar. I felt like I was at home and when I explained to the lovely cleaning ladies about me spilling coffee they instantly eased my anxiety and worry saying they'd sort it. It was last minute booking but everything was so beyond my expectations room and shower room were lovely even down to breakfast was provided. Fresh towels shampoo conditioner soap hair dryer fan extra pillows and little desk area then a little space for tea or coffee drinkers. Lighting was great and privacy is to high standards. Genuinely will be only place in Lancaster I'd stay at now.
So second night my key didn't work on gate door to get in and telly didn't work but nothing that can't be solved by your lovely hard working staff.
Saturday afternoon, England are playing tonight. Outside DJ was absolutely terrible. Playing music nobody wanted and told me that he doesn’t care what music we want and he will play what he wants. Such a shame

No parking at property although a long stay car park is nearby. Discounted parking would have been appreciated as in other places. Not too keen on the breakfast pack left in the room.

Great location! The room was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. I really appreciated the complimentary snacks and porridge for breakfast, which were replenished daily. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. A fantastic place to stay—I would definitely recommend it!
Exceptional stay. Room was spotless and bed extremely comfortable. I really liked the free breakfast croissants and coffee in the room. Came very in handy after a night out in Lancaster !
I did not know how to shut the blind in the ceiling and the room became very bright at sunrise. Realised there is a switch on the wall to control the blind just before I checked out. A sticker labelling the switch would be useful !

One word for this hotel.. Fantastic!!! Lilly's warm welcome set the tone for our stay! Arrived early so had a drink in the clean, modern bar. Lilly took time to chat and answer questions which helped to get the best out of our stay. We didn't have much time as we were seeing a show in the evening.
The room was lovely! Huge bed. Quality bedding, towels and fixtures. A lovely thoughtful touch of a complimentary breakfast of instant oats, croissant, biscuits and juice was sat on the bed presented in a cute basket..what a lovely kind gesture given the current climate for hospitality!!.
Bathroom was spotless. Security is EXCELLENT!!
This hotel deserves all the great reviews... They go ABOVE AND BEYOND to make your stay exceptional!! Do not hesitate to book here you will not be disappointed!!!
