Restaurant food was lovely, staff in the restaurant are also very friendly. Staff in the lobby was also very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The staff outside at the front of the hotel are rude and violent. Our taxi driver would arrive at the hotel and park at the front on the side still allowing another car to pass by but the staff would argue with him every day and tell him to park outside of the hotel grounds on the road and expected us to walk into the road to get into the car. This was happening nearly every day and would speak to the driver horribly and violently. For that reason I would be less likely to stay in this hotel.

To be very blunt, this hotel is not up to standards at all, and I'm just stunned at the ratings and reviews. Only thing going for it is the location. Perhaps the main guests staying here are Indian nations and think its ok, but the standards fell way below all the other hotels we stayed with on this trip to India and below the standards expected of a Radisson franchise, very little is going back into maintenance and renewal.

I have a basic budget hotel in the UK and we have much higher cleaning standards. The 3rd floor where our rooms were had a feeling of being grubby, as well as the rooms. It's not just me the whole group felt the same for all 3 rooms.

Starting with the rooms, the hotel is in desperate need of a refurb. There is clearly a damp problem in the building, this is because of the state of the bathroom tiles which need regrouting properly so water is getting into the walls and floors. The hotel has gone so far as to put diffusers in corridors to mask the damp smell. We had 3 rooms, 1 rooms was marginally better than the others. The bathrooms were mouldy with a damp smell, they needed a good clean, with the taps and shower screens properly cleaned with a suitable cleaner. The marble floors weren't clean, Chipped and damaged tiles in 2 ensuites, the rooms had damaged flooring. the fridge in one room made a terrible rattling noise,I had to pull the fridge out to switch it off and hit by a strong damp smell from the fridge area

Mould and damp is actually a health hazard, its not good to breath and can cause all sorts of health issues.

At some point the hotel has had a repaint, and who ever did it did a really poor job, you see paint marks where there shouldn't be because they have not been careful

The manager acknowledged the deficiencies on checkout and claimed the hotel was going to be refurbished soon.

I shall come back again
Pros:

The location of this property was in the cleanest area of Jalandhar, close to many shopping malls and restaurants. I was travelling in this area for attending a family gathering so it was a good place to stay.

Cons:

Location, cleanliness and the breakfast were all important factors for me to stay here. Staff was excellent. Live music during dinner was great to enjoy.
