This is not deserving of a five stars! I really wish I had went elsewhere. On check in no information was given about anything! Our room was small and adequate I suppose but there were stains on the furniture and upholstery/rugs. The waste bin was full of gunk. My biggest bugbear was the air con. When London is in a heatwave why not have the air con on ready for our arrival ? Our room was stifling and we had to get a fan which was so noisy . I noticed the air con was centrally set to 21 which wasn’t cool enough for us and took ages to cool the room. We finally seemed to get the room cool after a couple of days, but we went out and when we returned the cleaner had switched off the air con …. so back to square one with a red hot room. Other things to note about this hotel. There are no full length mirrors in the room. No dressing table or mirrors to get ready in the bedroom. I couldn’t do my hair as the only mirror is in the bathroom. There are no hand towels in the bathroom. We looked forward to having a drink on return to the hotel but the bar is always closed early. There is no comfortable seating area apart from a couple of unsuitable seats in reception. Just no atmosphere! A disappointing stay for the expensive price.
I booked into the Lalit hotel mainly because it was near to where I needed to be...but what a find. It is elegant, comfortable and welcoming. I had a lovely stay. The staff are so helpful and thoughtful. I mentioned that my visit was part of a birthday treat from my son. On arrival, there was a birthday cake & card waiting for me in my room. Next morning I had breakfast....a great choice on the buffet table and a choice of Indian or English breakfast. I chose the Indian and it was delicious. If I need to stay in London again ( I live only 40miles outside so I usually head home) I would love to stay at The Lalit hotel. Its a short walk from London Bridge Station so a very convenient location.
I picked The Lalit London because it was near where I needed to be but I am so pleased to have discovered it. It was elegant, comfortable & relaxing. The staff were all attentive and welcoming. . The bedroom was cool and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious....there is a choice of Full English or Indian. I chose Indian and it was lovely....mild but really flavoursome. I enjoyed my stay very much and any time I need to stay in London I will stay here. A few minutes walk from London Bridge Station so very convenient location.

Had a wonderful massage with Mukesh. He was very experienced and kind and I highly recommend him. Will definitely be back!
The exterior and the location.
Where to start? Nobody at arrival or departure to help with luggage, and you cannot enter the hotel without using maybe seven steps.
At the top of the steps is a huge orchid display and about one quarter of the orchids were drooping and needed replacement - a glamorous entrance now looked uncared for and unkempt.
Rude receptionist who didn’t bother to look up at me for maybe two minutes (no one else in room), a bartender who it took three times for him to understand a simple order for a vodka tonic with lime and slimline tonic (which he confirmed he had) and a double gin and tonic with slimline. What he delivered 15 minutes later (no other customers) was with two different fever free tonics that were flavoured but not diet.
We were given a welcome voucher to use in the bar but it was a huge hassle because the bartender didn’t know what to do with it during happy hour - delayed getting our bill for about twenty minutes. He was all in all pretty untrained in his job duties.
The room was on top floor and had dangerous hit-your-head wall angles from the gables projection on the way to one side of bed. The floor was dirty. The curtains had no pull or tie back so we had to use chairs to prop them up and get light.
The bedside table on my side of the bed had controls that were unusable because the wall mount bedside table covered them halfway.
The closet did not have the requisite ten hangers and the ones there were not grouped correctly and facing different directions.
The shower had two tubes of shampoo that completely stripped all healthiness from my hair and no tube of conditioner to fix this. This amenity brand is a no-name clearly to save money.
I have stayed in this hotel before and the service has declined incredibly. I own a luxury hotel and I know what good customer service is and what should be expected.
The LaLit did not deliver this time.
Our second visit to this excellent Hotel.Very clean and Comfortable with excellent staff. .Great location.
After telling the Concierge we had returned for my Husbands 70th Birthday a birthday cake was in our room when we returned to the room.
The food is amazing.
Will certainly make a third visit to this amazing hotel.
We enjoyed a 2 night stay over the weekend. Excellent location. Parking was a godsend. Very clean and comfy rooms with complimentary mini fridge and snacks, excellent shower and good towels. Staff very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed a fantastic meal in the restaurant on the Sunday evening.

Le manque de reactivité : spot qui pendait juste sous le pommeau de douche avec risque d electrocution : signalé mais aucune reaction..peit etre parce que nous etions dimanche et lendemain de match ( reflexion du personnel) peu professionnel pour un 5 etoiles dont le prix ne baisse pas, meme le dimanche..
