Everyone & Everything
This place is perfect!!
At over 1000$ a night on a weekend I expect a lot more. The hotel in insanely overpriced. The rooms need renovations (clearly partied in hard and not taken care of) and our particular room needed mold remediation. We will not be returning.
Beautiful hotel, terrible customer service. The noise from a nearby rooftop bar was deafening. I asked the Manager on duty to find us another room and she basically said the noise was normal and we shouldn't have reserved a room in Fells Point. That was her only action. By the way I am quite used to the noise in fells Point. I have been visiting for 15 years. I have never heard a noise so deafening before.
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Pendry Baltimore and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The property itself is beautiful, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the service throughout our stay was truly exceptional.
A special shout-out to Lauren, who went way above and beyond when I lost my phone. She actually searched through the laundry bins on the loading dock to help track it down. That is the kind of effort and genuine care that you remember long after your stay. I can’t thank her enough for taking the situation seriously and doing everything she could to help.
We also had a great experience at the pool thanks to Brian, who took excellent care of us. He was attentive, friendly, and made the pool experience even better.
The hotel also did an amazing job making my wife’s birthday special. They surprised us with a bottle of champagne, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the celebration feel genuinely special.
The Saturday night lounge entertainment was another highlight. It created a great atmosphere and was exactly the kind of fun, sophisticated experience you hope for at a property like the Pendry.
Overall, the Pendry Baltimore delivered on every level: beautiful property, outstanding service, great atmosphere, and employees who genuinely care about their guests. Lauren and Brian in particular deserve recognition, but everyone we interacted with was wonderful.
We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend the Pendry Baltimore.
Beautiful property and lovely pool area. If you're looking for a quick get away to lounge by the pool, this hotel is close to perfect. Only hitch is hotel staff seem to realize a large portion of their guests are AMEX or Chase cardholders looking to utilize their hotel credits and maximize their benefits, so while guest services are friendly, service felt low effort. To their credit, management responds to feedback directly, which is appreciated.
Iprefer Titanium Members, heads up, this property offers no benefits.
Biggest tip: Don't be afraid to follow up on requests after they've been made and you've waited a bit. If you're at the pool and can't flag down a server, just go up to the bar or walk up to them. If you're waiting for your room to be ready, chances are you won't receive a notice, so don't be afraid to check.
At this price point, similar to competitors, the properties and grounds are gorgeous. But unlike competitors, such as the Four Seasons down to road, you may not receive the 5* service you're expecting.
We highly recommend the Pendry Baltimore in Fells Point. Excellent location in an awesome neighborhood, right on the water with easy access to the inner harbor. The hotel associates were top notch - from the front desk team to the food and beverage staff and the housekeeping team. Well worth the splurge!
Great experience overall. 10/10 recommend! Room service and dining was top notch. Beautiful views. Gave us a Escalade to get around during our stay!
Everything was delicious
Nothing
The pool
Not enough amenities for the price? The bed was hard.
Always plenty to do in and around Fells Point. Great atmosphere wonderful staff, exceptional service. Rooms while small felt so intimate.
The design, the pool, the room, the shower, the bathroom products, the location
Need magnifying mirror in bathroom. The room was FREEZING when I checked in. The duvet is too hot and there was no sheet underneath. For the price of the room, I think a free snack would be nice. Like a bag of nuts or something
Terrible service all around. I feel badly for their staff as they seemed overworked, understaffed, and unsupported. But as a result they're all in bad moods and the service is terrible. Feels like a management, top down problem. Add to the fact that they're dealing with some unsympathetic guests only adds to their problems. (Not us, but I witnessed other guests expressing their reasonable discontent.)
They were late past check in time and offered us a dining credit, but I just reviewed our "portfolio" and no credit was given. We're also "I Prefer" titanium members, and none of those perks were offered. Not even a water on arrival as we wait for the room or water for our ride home... these things feel standard at other comparable hotels.
Also the interior design is not at all comparable to other Pendry hotel locations that I love and appreciate. It's heavily relying on the existing cool architecture and the rooms feel basic by comparison to their other locations (We were in a Harbor Suite).
The pool is smaller than pictures and was over packed, standing shoulder to shoulder with other guests in a really warm pool, gross. Booked a daybed, it was not any different service or accommodations then first come first serve chairs and no guaranteed shade. Not enough umbrellas I was told when wanting shade. But it did guarantee us our spot, as I saw many families of 4 confined to sharing 1 or 2 chairs. So you will need to pay extra if you want to make sure you have a spot by the pool. They should have built a larger pool to accommodate the number of guests the hotel has or maybe limit the number of guests? Maybe if you go on the cusp of the season it would be less crowded and more enjoyable? Definitely don't go in July expecting a luxury pool day experience. Food was mostly ok...but the guacamole was inedible... brown mush with some hard un-ripen chunks mixed in.
I seriously could go on and on about every disappointing interaction we had. It felt like a Courtyard Marriott and would have been fine if the price reflected that. I picked the Pendry over the Four Seasons because I love the Pendry in NYC and the West Hollywood location... but this was far from those experiences. I have not stayed at the Four Seasons in Baltimore but if I go back I would try there instead.
Luckily my husband and I can enjoy ourselves where ever we are, and were laughing at how bad it all went. I never write reviews, but I feel like I should warn others because this was so far off than what I expected. Also... they included this link at the end of their survey... so thats my many cents on our over 3k weekend.
We reserved two South side adjacent rooms for two nights, six months in advance, so we can see he 4th of July fireworks. We contact the Pendry staff on a couple of occasions to confirm the proper rooms were reserved. Check in time starts at 3:00 PM and we arrived at 3:15 PM and the Pendry gave away our reserved rooms and acted like everything was fine. Our room request and visit to confirm the reservation was noted in their computer. I would understand it a little better if we arrived to check in at 11:00 PM. We had family and friends that were extremely disappointed. The customer service by management and the staff was unacceptable.Words cannot express how disappointed my family is with the Pendry. Thank you Pier 5 for providing an executive suite with 3 balconies to view both fireworks displays on the Baltimore Harbor at a more friendly nightly rate. Based on the none caring service provided by the Pendry representatives, My family and friends do not foresee spend another dime at any Pendry location!!
Excellent location, perfect room, quiet, excellent staff, everything worked perfectly, great workout area, awesome pool.
Outstanding in every way! We are just here for one night and I wish we could stay longer. The property is gorgeous and only surpassed by the excellent staff. We arrived very early so our room wasn’t quite ready. Terrace quickly stored our bags and we headed to the pool where we were greeted warmly and swiftly shown to two lovely lounge chairs. Service by the pool was excellent and the drinks and food options were wonderful. The shower might be the best we’ve had in any hotel room we’ve stayed and we run a tour company so we’ve encountered A LOT of hotel showers. We will never stay anywhere else in Baltimore and I wish every hotel could take lessons from the Pendry Baltimore. A++++!!
A disappointing stay and a warning to others who choose to stay here. The room type you book is not guaranteed and you may be downgraded. That's what happened to us.
Upon check-in, we were informed that the Harbor View King room we booked (directly through the Pendry, not a third party) was unavailable and that we would be downgraded to a Courtyard Terrace room. There is a huge difference between having nearly panoramic views of the Baltimore Harbor and essentially having a few of the public courtyard and other rooms. Not only were we downgraded, we were given possibly the worst room in the hole property -- a ground floor room closest to the main lobby and restaurant. So, upon arrival to the room we heard a large party taking place in the courtyard. Throughout the night we were awoken to people walking through the courtyard talking. And shortly before 8:00am we were awoken to pressure washing taking place in the courtyard. Not to mention the room was really dark.
The good news was Matt at the front desk told us during check-in that they had many check-outs and that after our first night we would be moved to the "nicest available Harbor View room." Imagine my surprise when I went to the front desk and was told there were still not Harbor View rooms available.
So, ultimately a really disappointing stay at what otherwise is a really nice, 4.5 star hotel. Rooms are large and well-appointed. Valet and bell staff friendly. Restaurant is great. Location can't be beat.
NOTE: I requested my first night to be comped, and it was. For the second night, I requested an adjustment on the nightly rate, and was told this would be granted. However, when I received my final bill, the rate was not adjusted. After some back and forth a manager did adjust the rate.
Staff were spectacularly attentive. Rooms were blissfully clean. View fromthe room was amazing. Gorgeous building and decor. Stunning pool area. A true top notch expierence not provided by many other hoteliers.
We love the Pendry! Outstanding service from the minute you pull up to Valet… and all throughout! Would highly recommend.
Upscale hotel with courteous and accommodating staff, but the surrounding party boats and restaurants blaring music until 2 AM are a real nuisance and make it hard to sleep. We have a Harbor Studio room and it is nicely appointed and very clean. Housekeeping staff is great, as is the pool staff. For the price we are paying, I don’t like that they allow locals access to the pool for a fee. Will not stay here again.
Excellent place to stay. Always very clean, workers are great, accommodations are paramount. the Area is full of items to see and to do. The restaurants in the area are great.
