Just what we wished got.
Pros:

Check in was a breeze. Our room was aired, clean, well laid out with a super en suite. The hotel is a short walk of a minute or two from the centre of town. Breakfast is fabulous with cereals, fruit juices yoghurt. Plus a full English. with toast and preserves,if you still have room.

Cons:

I can not think of anything that could of improved our stay beyond the normal services and facilties provided.

After a disappointing start, it went very well
Pros:

Breakfast was very good as were most of the staff. Room and bed very comfortable. wifi and parking were available

Cons:

Carrying 2 large heavy bags up 60 steps to our room on the top floor, i.e there is no lift.
Room was very hot - no air con. Admittedly temperatures were exceptional that week.
The duty manager on the night we checked in was very casual, and didn't offer to help carry bags up. I have a medical condition which meant my 78 yr old wife had to carry both bags up the stairs.
Other staff were extremely helpful and friendly however

Pros:

The staff were very welcoming and changed our room to accommodate my wife's mobility issues when I put in a late request by email a few days before we arrived. A very good selection at breakfast and would have no problem recommending the hotel to anybody who would be staying in the area.

Cons:

Nothing... It was perfect for our needs.

Excellent value traditional hotel in heart of Tunbridge Wells with great breakfast.
Pros:

Our second stay at the Russell (in-laws live locally) and the first in extreme heat. Staff went out of the way to find us a fan.

A clean, well-equipped room with shower and bath, good Wi-Fi and plenty of coffee. Great breakfast.

Great stay, lovely people & a super breakfast
Pros:

Although a little dated it just adds to the buildings charm, we arrived early to a very warm welcome & the room was clean & well equipped.
Its well placed for the town centre & the breakfast was super.

Cons:

Nothing to not like, theres no aircon but there was no heat wave when i booked so nobody to blame on that count😂😂

A pleasent, functional hotel
Pros:

The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Kindly prepared bacon butties for us to collect on the way out on our last morning because we wanted to leave early.

Very good location a short walk from the town centre and breakfast also very good.

Cons:

The hotel is a mish-mash of styles with decoration clearly having been done as needed. It is all perfectly nice but visually a bit 'odd'. As it's England we could probably describe it as 'eccentric'.
