Old
Great location and area
Marvelous environment of this historic property
Everything, always the best service - staff couldn't be any more friendly. Food is phenomenal and the room is just beautiful, everything you need.
I'd say maybe a fridge would be beneficial, especially when traveling with a baby.
Food for both breakfast and Dinner was great value.
Reception staff were difficult to find
My wife and I spent three nights at the Banchory Lodge to celebrate a special birthday. The setting is stunning; our room was large, comfortable, spotlessly clean and had a wonderful view of the River Dee; the staff were lovely and the food was superb. My only reservation is their "dog friendly" policy. I have been scared of dogs ever since a childhood attack and I do not welcome their company but in fairness the dogs in residence at the time of our stay were generally well-behaved and not a problem.
Spacious, expertly decorated, incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The best part was being on the river, it was stunning!
Wifi wasn’t great in room 4.
The lodge sits at the edge of the Dee River and is lovely! We could hear and see the river from the room (#15). There's a patio/deck dining area where folks gathered for drinks and fun! The indoor dining room has 3 "areas" - all are cozy and nicely decorated with views to the outdoors. It's family friendly as we saw happy children enjoying the picnic tables outside yet serene for couples (as we were). The location was a perfect resting spot for our trip: we started from Edinburgh, drove along the coast to see castle ruins, rested for one night and the next day headed to Balmoral, through the mountains back to Edinburgh.
We thought the food could have been a bit more elevated.
Another fantastic afternoon drinking beers in the sun in a stunning location. Excellent service from Davut the manager and his team. We love it here and it’s always a highlight for our weekend in Banchory
Had a wonderful couple of nights at Banchory lodge, lovely large vet comfortable and spotless room. All staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good as was out evening meal, definitely recommend you try here.
Great atmoshere in a historic house
Room with own terrace not so private with guests from other rooms passing through
Bellissimo hotel, immerso nella natura scozzese. Camera grandissima e accogliente. Ottima colazione e ottimo ristorante per la cena

The location and surroundings are simply beautiful. The hotel itself not only looks stunning but is very comfortable and welcoming, with an excellent restaurant.
I'd like to give a special mention to the young lady who processed our reception, very pleasant, welcoming and an asset to the your organisation
