Absolutely stunning! We loved the location, the decor, the staff, the accommodations. We wish we could have stayed longer!

86 Cannon exceeded our expectations and was an excellent choice for our 4 day romantic getaway to Charleston. The place was immaculate and every detail was thoughtful. We loved the breakfast and found it tasty and convenient, with the bonus of sitting on the porch each morning. We made great use of the bikes to bike for hours all around the city. It was such a lovely perk! The pool was beyond gorgeous. The pictures are exactly what it looks like! The saltwater was super comfortable and we loved lounging at the pool. It was quiet and walkable- we didn’t rent a car.

What a gem! We were so thrilled with this petite and historic spot- absolutely perfect for a romantic weekend away. Every detail was charming, from the decor to the breakfast room to the tiny but fabulous pool. We’ll be back.

What is there to say! The Michilen Key…so deserved! This place will not only spoil your vision of travel, but you will want to return! 86 Cannon is what dreams are made of! The staff is exceptional. A special shout out to Lizzy and her suggestions and thoughts to enhance our stay in Charleston. Our Garden Suite was wonderful. Can we talk about that pool! Wow! Just wow! The courtyard is so intimate and worlds away. Breakfast was a great way to start the day without being rushed. The wine & cheese hour will be the reason to take a moment and savor your visit to Charleston. We can’t wait to return to 86 Cannon and Charleston!

Great adult B&B. We enjoyed the pool and gardens. Bikes were fun to take out as well. Fun neighborhood away from tourists. Only suggestion would be to have small fridge in room for beverages.

Everything was amazing! The location was perfect for walking to shops and restaurants. They thought of every little detail, we will for sure be back.

From the welcome to the departure, 86 was so fine. Great room, great shower…you get used to the chimney in the bathroom pretty quickly…fine bed. The pool is gorgeous, the amenities all you could need and off street no valet to do deal with parking was a real plus. And quiet. And breakfast. And wine and cheese and superb coffee. Enough already.

I’m reluctant to review, because I want to gate keep this place!!! But WOW. What an incredible spot. They thought of everything and the staff couldn’t be friendlier. Can’t wait to come back.

Dear friends of ours recommended Charleston since we had never actually stayed there. We felt 86 Cannon would be a fun way of celebrating our husband’s 80th birthday. It sure did not disappoint. Right from the start we entered the gate, you could feel the calmness of this wonderful place. It’s a small boutique hotel that does not have the environment or facility for children or group parties. It was truly a desirable place to enjoy the best breakfast and all the lattes, coffee or tea to your desire on the verandas. To have wine and a cheese platter at 5. Or just to enjoy the veranda after a delicious dinner. Lizzie and Evangeline were the best. During our stay, they provide you with their text info so you can communicate whatever you may want or need from them. They were truly the icing on the cake. If you are looking for a great place to stay, we highly recommend staying there. I don’t think you will be disappointed. We are looking forward to going back sometime in the future.

Our recent trip to Charleston was a delightful experience. We stayed at the charming 86 Cannon, a beautiful bed and breakfast. Perfect stay, exceeding expectations. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. They communicated by text throughout our trip. The rooms and the shared spaces are thoughtfully and beautifully designed - updated for modern comforts while capturing the historical architecture and style of the original structures and Charleston. The breakfast is way undersold on the website - everything was delicious, fresh, local and abundant. The pool is serene - I will go back in my dreams while I plan to go back in person. The location is also just close enough to walk to the main shopping and attractions, and surrounded by some of the most desirable restaurants in Charleston, while affording you the peace and quiet of an adults only getaway.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my stay at 86 Canon Boutique Hotel. From the moment I arrived, everything felt incredibly clean, fresh, and thoughtfully curated. The property has such a charming, quaint atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease.

Breakfast each morning was such a treat—fresh fruit, homemade yogurt, and granola that was absolutely delicious. You can really tell care goes into every detail.

I’m very particular about a comfortable bed, and this one exceeded all expectations. The bedding was a dream—honestly a 10/10. It was almost impossible to get out of bed each morning!

This hotel is exquisite. We honestly did not want to leave the property because it is so beautifully appointed and so peaceful and comfortable. We loved everything about our stay - the gorgeous, clean room, the stunning pool area, the lovely little hang out spots throughout, and the warm and friendly service. It's also in a perfect location, close to the action, but just far enough to be more low key. Couldn't ask for a better visit and we can't wait to come back again!

Beautiful period property, with every comfort, so tastefully decorated with luxurious beds, linen, pillows, towels etc. Everything was spotlessly clean and this is clearly a very well run hotel. We loved the bikes, the self serve breakfast and the easy parking. A perfect place to stay to explore Charleston.

This was one of the most special places I’ve stayed in my many years of travel. I was a plus-one, and knowing that someone took the time to find such a place, and made it part of such a special “each othering” weekend, touched my heart.

I have a fondness for style, art, architecture, history, and good food. Charleston meets the mark; 86 Cannon is the exclamation point.

Being able to park and walk everywhere met my criteria for a stress-free three-day weekend. Success is in the details, and 86 Cannon exceeds.
