A barely adequate place to stay.
Pros:

The room was pretty basic but comfortable enough. It did have ants along the back wall, including some winged that were annoying. Bathroom was ok. The room came with a small refrigerator, which was very useful. The hotel is near the Coffee/Chocolate/Sloth Park, which has an entrance fee but is kind of fun; however, it is quite a long ways from La Fortuna itself, requiring either a very long walk or a taxi. The young woman in the front office was very nice and helpful but knew little English (and we knew little Spanish). We felt safe and the price was reasonable.

Cons:

The "hotel" consists of individual cabins; the walls are basically single boards so sunlight filters through. Our room had an air conditioner but it didn't work too well; the young woman in the front office kindly brought us a floor fan to help cool things off. The location is not good if, like us, you have no car or bicycle---it is a long walk to town along uneven pavement (if there is any). Our major crisis was the bolt lock on the inside of the door: it jammed early in the evening and we were stuck inside our room. The front office was closed and not staffed; we worried that we would be trapped in our room until a friend called the police, who got someone to whom we passed the room key through the window. The lock was jammed from the inside and could only be opened from the outside. We never heard any apology from management or any discounted price (which would have been nice)---maybe management never even knew about the incident.
Nearby restaurant was serviceable for dinner but certainly nothing to write home about. Overall, "Hotel" Villa Vista was our least favorite stay during our two-week visit. We wouldn't stay there again if we return to La Fortuna.

Pros:

Las ubicación , muy cerca de la fortuna pero no en las calles principales .Además si está despejado tienes vistas al volcán y tienen los jardines muy bonitos . Desayuno rico.
Además no teníamos adaptador y las trabajadoras nos dejaron uno sin problema , eran muy amables .

Cons:

Para el espacio que hay dentro de la cabaña se podría poner aunque sea un hervidor de agua o microondas. Además la nevera perdía agua y teníamos que poner alguna toalla en el suelo. Y por último, se ve algo descuidado por dentro tanto en decoración que podría estar mejor como algunas tablas de maderas separadas de la pared o con algún agujerito por donde nos entrabas alguna hormiga y bichito

Aunque no pasamos mucho tiempo en la cabaña, la señal de televisión regular y el WiFi en algunos momentos se desconectaba

Love my stay at Villas Vista Arenal. I would stay there again.
Pros:

The hot Breakfast was good. They will cook your eggs to your taste. The Casitas are very close to plenty of restaurants, and supermarkets. The town center is withing walking distance. There is also a Zipline, Agency in front of the hotel. You can park your car, or Motorcycle next to each casita.

The hotel is an established property. The bungalows are spacious and well landscaped for privacy.

It is close to the main part of La Fortuna. The pool area was relaxed and a nice place to hang out with our group. We saw plenty of wildlife during our pool time. The breakfast was delicious. One of the best during our stay in Costa Rica.
