Very cool castle and wonderful place to stay
Pros:

The grounds were lovely and staff was quite nice and accommodating. The room was comfortable but could use a bit of updating. The restaurant was decent.

Pros:

The care taken by all the staff especially in the restaurant. They took great care with regard to my special diet needs. Good communicatin between the staff. making our stay excetional.

Fabulous hotel, set in lovely grounds. A totally unique experience! Close to Hexham and visitor centres to Hadrian’s Wall.

Lovely staff, nice food but a few things that should be addressed.
Pros:

Beautiful property with lovely gardens and the castle was lovely to dine in, with the tour a bonus.

Cons:

Room 28 had a water pump (as was described) in the wall/a cupboard located near to the bed head and it hummed constantly - which was annoying but nothing could be done about it. Paying the money we did for the accommodation, it was disappointing that this was an issue that no one seemed to be aware of or thought anything could be done about it. It impacted my ability to sleep. We thought we had a castle lodge room with a view of the castle but this was not the case, which was also disappointing.
