The room was perfect. I’ll be staying there again.
Room was clean and tidyThe room was clean and tidy, and the common areas were also well maintained. Its location is ideal for a Nats game. The breakfast offered was a typical Residence Inn meal. But…
It was unclear from the website that valet parking was on a first-come, first-served basis. In the Bonvoy app, clicking on “valet parking” only mentions the $65 fee. Enough said, right? Wrong!
We ended up missing the first inning of the Nationals game because my husband had to search all over the area for a parking garage at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. (So much for checking in and walking over two blocks to the game.) Game time was 4:05.
I brought this to the attention of the front desk staff, who told me that it does say this on their site. I said it didn’t. Later in the evening, I checked and saw that in the “parking” section there is a note saying: “Valet Parking only. Limited parking, first come-first serve. In and out access. Offsite/street parking may be required.” Well, I never clicked on that part of the parking & transit section, so I didn’t see this information earlier. Honestly, this should be listed in BOTH PLACES.
Because I requested extra pillows ahead of time through the app, since I was recovering from surgery, I received only one. I asked the housekeeper for three more, and she seemed annoyed but got the pillows for me. She looked at me funny, and it was clear she was annoyed to come back a second time. After the parking fiasco, I was annoyed that she was annoyed.
From a staffing perspective, this was a rough start. Otherwise, everything was fine.
Great from start to finish!! Special thanks to the valet manager for finding us the best spot despite the garage being full!!
This Residence Inn is a no-brainer, especially if you’re visiting DC for an event at Nationals Park. It takes only a few minutes to stroll around the corner to Nationals Park.
More importantly, the hotel is top-notch. My wife and I have stayed there at least three times, I’m guessing.
The beds are comfy, rooms are immaculately clean and the staff is always helpful and friendly.
For this level of service and quality, I believe it’s priced right.
Five stars, case closed!
Location was great and room was very clean
Location was great, bed was comfortable
Elevators are strange to get to rooms/main lobby, and you have to turn on the main light in the room to turn on the bathroom lights which is different
I love this hotel!!!! The room was modern, clean, and spacious. Breakfast was health conscious and delicious. The valets could not have been more helpful. I felt 100% safe. It’s a block and a half from the ballpark. Twenty minute walk to the monuments.
Very clean rooms. Great location for all the attractions. Great staff!!!
Местоположение хорошое, отель чистый, персонал вежливый.
Завтрак очень посредственный
Place was extremely convenient for me and my family. Staff were very nice and helpful as well. Breakfast in the morning was nice fresh and hot. Definitely would stay there again. Excellent experience
We came to Washington DC to watch 2 baseball games and also to explore the museums and monuments. This is the perfect location to stay if you’re going to the baseball games. Literally a quarter mile to the center field entrance. We took Uber rides back and forth from the museums and monuments. Each Uner ride was about 12$. Lots of food options near the hotel. Room was clean and had everything we needed as a family with 2 teenagers. We felt very safe in and around the hotel. Highly recommend.
This is a very nice clean hotel. The people are always friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable. I would recommend anybody to stay here andit’s also in a very nice location away from a lot of the hustle and bustle of DC.
Great service and great staff
The location was great. Many places within walking distance. The staff was very friendly the rooms were very clean and well organized. I would definitely stay there again.
Great location- walking distance to Nats Stadium! Room was clean and spacious, with great front desk service.
Great location with a lot to do!
Angelina was amazing. I had a complex reservation to deal with and she managed to make it easy for me. Very thankful for her help
Very central location. You can be to the national mall and other popular attractions by subway or scooter in under 10-15 minutes
First they charged my card for the entire amount of the stay plus the parking fee the when we arrived which was fine. Then 8 hours before we left on the last day they charge me an additional $500. When i inquired about it at the front desk the first supervisor had no idea how to explain it but said it would ‘fall off.’ When we checked out the next morning the next supervisor said it was a ‘hold.’ He explained it shouldnt not have happened but there was nothing he could do at this point. No ‘we’re sorry’ or help, just its a mistake it will be dropped in 7-10 days. So i was out $500 for 7-10 days.
Also if you get to the hotel anytime when a ballgame or concert lets out it can be a nightmare. Thousands of people along the streets and in front of the hotel. Forget trying to enjoy the bars or restaurants around the property.
Parking is also an issue. If you dont pay the ridiculously high parking fee to have them park your car theres nothing even close to park your car at.
I can’t say enough great things about Mary at the Residence Inn Marriott Navy Yard.
After arriving in DC, I found out that my reservation at another hotel had been overbooked, leaving me stressed and scrambling to find a place to stay. When I walked into the Residence Inn, Mary’s shift had already ended. She literally had her purse in her hand and was about to walk out the door. Instead of rushing off, she took the time to help me.
Not only did she quickly get me checked into a room, but she also went above and beyond by providing a complimentary upgrade that made an already difficult day so much better. Her kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help completely changed my outlook and turned a frustrating experience into a positive one.
Exceptional customer service like Mary’s is rare, and she deserves to be recognized for going above and beyond for a guest she didn’t have to help. Thank you, Mary, for your compassion and outstanding hospitality. You made a stressful day so much easier, and I’m incredibly grateful.
