Nice but not going back there again

Great apartment for relaxing family time
Pros:

Very well furnished with modern up to date furniture. High ceilings, good a/c, amazing views both in bedroom and front balcony.

Cons:

Being a penthouse it needs a coffee machine.

Location was good. Apartment was tidy.

Cons:

We had a lot of trouble with the doors. It appears that some of the doors have bowed so the locking mechanisms don't work properly. We couldn't unlock the front door on arrival and were worried we would break the lock. So called the after hours number (friendly staff). We were instructed to use more force which did work, but fixing the issue would be a better solution for future guests.

Disappointing, dirty and run down - left early due to standard
Pros:

Only the location being in a convenient spot. Nothing else was up to the standard of what this listing looks like.

Cons:

We stayed at this property as a family and unfortunately our experience did not align with the listing or expectations for the price paid.

On arrival, the apartment appeared darker, more worn, and less maintained than the photos suggested. During our stay, a number of maintenance and cleanliness issues arose which required multiple follow-ups to resolve.

We also encountered a live cockroach inside the apartment, which was particularly concerning while travelling with children. While we appreciate that coastal environments can occasionally experience pests, this impacted our comfort and sense of cleanliness.

We raised our concerns directly with the property during and after our stay. While a response was provided, we felt the overall issues raised were largely minimised, and some of our basic requests during the stay were characterised as excessive rather than being viewed in the context of the conditions we were experiencing.

Housekeeping did assist with linen changes when requested, however there were inconsistencies in servicing, including a missing mattress protector after bedding changes, which added to the inconvenience during our stay.

Overall, the property did not feel consistently maintained to the standard we expected based on the listing, and it affected our ability to comfortably remain for the full duration of our booking. As a result, we chose to depart early. Our request for a refund for the unused night was declined.

We appreciate that some assistance was provided during our stay, but based on our experience we would not choose to stay here again.
