A magical pocket of boutique hotel bliss
Pros:

Every tiny detail of this hotel is considered carefully. The welcome drink was prepared with love. The room was so cleverly designed with great attention to detail. The shower was unexpected and quite extraordinary. The breakfast was an experience I’ll never forget. Outstanding. Super friendly staff. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to visit galle.

Pros:

This is a very special place with an intimate feel and quirky layout. Highlights were the morning coffee/tea on the balcony, with students from the school across the road waving hello, as well as cooling off in the pool, which felt like being in the jungle - absolutely magical, surrounded by  tropical plants.

Cons:

The room was quite small. I was travelling alone, but I can imagine with two people's luggage it would be a bit cramped.

Beautiful boutique hotel with a ton of charm and excellent staff
Pros:

A beautiful hotel inside an old colonial building. The rooms were lovely and the facilities were excellent. Shower pressure was particularly great. The staff were also amazing, going over and above to make our stay an excellent experience. The 5 course breakfast is a must-have!

We absolutely loved it
Pros:

It is fabulous experience to stay here. Special like for breakfasts, which was beautiful and tasty.
Staff was always there to help us with anything.

Cons:

The only problem was with water temperature adjustment in the bathroom. It was too hot or too cold.

Fun and quirky place to stay
Pros:

This is a fun and stylish place, with lots of quirky pleasures including the degustation breakfast served on beautiful old plates, the thermos of tea delivered early to the bedroom door and the witty design throughout. If you get a good room the place is very comfortable. The staff are very helpful and friendly and there’s a real pride in the traditions the place is creating. The location near the end of the fort is lovely.

Cons:

Our first ground floor room (queen studio) was both small and noisy - you could hear the kitchen, the cafe, the street. We were moved when we raised the issue and the first floor room was much nicer - even though it ran out of water mid morning and left us heading out without having had a shower. Other thing to note is that the plunge pool doesn’t really look plausible as a place to actually use - it’s about the same size as the fishpond next to it. If you want to cool off in a pool another place might be better.
