The hotel was quite difficult to find from the place we had parked. But once we found it we realised it was next to the tube station which was very convenient for the rest of our stay. Room was very nice, modern, clean and quiet and the hotel itself was lovely. Hotel staff were very friendly.
The area outside was a bit smelly and not very welcoming but that changed once you got inside. The gentleman who served us on check in was very friendly and happy but wasn't able to answer any of our questions, he didn't seem to have knowledge on the area or tube connections. We sorted it ourselves in the end anyway but sometimes its useful for local advice. I had a cut on my foot on arrival and we asked for a plaster until I could buy some, but the hotel 1st aid kit was empty, which wasnt ideal.
Air conditioning not functioning properly in initial room however staff immediately reallocated us to an upgraded room which had everything needed for our stay.

Online check-in is pointless, and rooms weren't ready at 3.30, even though check-in was 3pm. Booked a king-size suite, but it was no bigger than a double. The design of the room was awful. All plug sockets and light controls were on one side of the bed. Taking £50 off a credit card as a security deposit is disgusting and should not be allowed. Showing I'd is not something I have ever had to do in England as a UK resident. Not made ro feel welcome which is disgusting. I will not be staying at another of their hotels.
I loved the location and the interior design. The hotel is right next to the Aldgate tube station, so it’s incredibly easy to get to the hotel. The view was pretty good, although it was a bit hard to see (my room was on the third floor) and the AC was perfect.
Very small things, compared to everything else. The blow drier was on its last legs, I could barely use it and it made a weird sound, as if it was going to explode soon. The towels could be better, they were leaving fluff on my skin, which wasn’t ideal. The mattress was a bit too soft. The elevators didn’t work. It wasn’t that bad for me, my luggage was relatively light and my room was on the third floor but still, should be fixed.

Die Lage des Hotels
Direkt neben dem Bahnhof Aldgate gelegen. Die Station Tower Hill ist in 15 Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar - perfekte Anbindung zum London City Airport, in ca. 40 Minuten Fahrzeit. Geräumiges Zimmer mit Klimanlage. Das Frühstück wird serviert, man kann von einer Karte von diversen Gerichten auswählen. Die Getränke und Backwaren sind vom Buffet zu holen. Für uns war es der perfekte Ausgangspunkt für unser Sightseeing. Diverse gute Restaurants in Gehdistanz, inkl. Ottolenghi.
Am ersten Tag Probleme mit dem Lift. Am Montag wurden sie behoben. Beim Frühstück kann es länger dauern, wenn es viele Leute hat.
Next door to Aldgate tube station , easy to find , great for the city centre and culture . Easy for us to get to Westfield and the London Stadium then a trip the following day to Kew Gardens and the Shard .
The room was nicely air conditioned, comfortable with a great view . We liked the roof top bar as an added bonus .
The food in the dining room was excellent. Staff were polite and courteous .
Great location and facilities. Great for the price I paid £200 per night, but wouldn’t have paid the higher prices that showed up later in the week.
