Important information:

A valid photo ID and a credit or Visa debit card are required upon check-in. The name on the ID and the card must match the guest's name on the booking information.
We will make a copy of the ID and place a $100 pre-authorization hold on the card for security purposes.
Guests who do not have the required bank card must provide a cash damage deposit of NZD 200, which will be refunded after a property inspection when checking out.

I’d say this is a great room for the price, and the staff are quite accomodating too. I recommend if you need a reliable
Pros:

It was quite a spacious room, with a comfortable bed and the basic kitchen supplies. The bathroom was also nice, small but decent and the water pressure from the shower is amazing. I didn’t realise but they also have little body wash and face wash bottles for the guests which comes in handy if you don’t bring any yourself. The hotel is also a few steps from the nearby Spark Arena venue which was amazing to discover, we were expecting to walk a lot further than we did but it’s only a few steps away!

Cons:

My only concern I’d say was that our room was a little of a longer walk from the lobby, and us being two paranoid girls at night, it was kinda scary getting to the room late at night. However nothing happened, which is good. It was also a little noisy because of the nearby trains starting up in the morning, but not too much of a problem.

Pros:

I loved the free room upgrade from double to king studio. The staff was nice on check in. Fast and easy check in. The room size was amazing. The bathroom
Bed was clean. Everything was spot on! Location was spot on. Pillows so comfy. So spacious. Absolutely amazing! Would stay here again. Its worth every cent. It's affordable but luxury above and beyond what I paid.

Beautiful but let down by how gross it was this time

Its a beautiful building a lot of history location great and staff friendly , stayed there several times

Cons:

Was heavily stained carpets room and found a cockroach jump out from bed side table right as was packing to leave

The lack of parking, despite paying for parking per night there was rarely a parking space available. - needed to find alternative at additional cost.

Indian restaurant located in foyer area, that was not mentioned in accommodation description caused a lot of disruption.

Lots of unsupervised children running rampant in the hall.

So called security access door for guests only, was often left ajar and not secured.
