Important information:

A valid photo ID and a credit or Visa debit card are required upon check-in. The name on the ID and the card must match the guest's name on the booking information.
We will make a copy of the ID and place a $100 pre-authorization hold on the card for security purposes.
Guests who do not have the required bank card must provide a cash damage deposit of NZD 200, which will be refunded after a property inspection when checking out.
A 3% surcharge applies to credit card payments. There is no surcharge for payments made via cash, EFTPOS, or debit cards (issued in New Zealand).

This is a very basic hotel that I can't really recommend to anyone else.
Pros:

The location was good and it was easy to park our car. The room was spacious. The staff were easy to deal with. The entry of the hotel through an old train station is nice.

Cons:

The room had not been cleaned after the last occupant when we got there. They staff had no other rooms so we had to wait while they cleaned the room. There is a strong curry smell throughout the hotel - perhaps from the onsite restaurant.

Cons:

While staff were pleasant some had very limited English.
I would have appreciated hooks in my room for coat etc

Great value for money. Excellent location. Highly recomend.
Pros:

Set in the old train station...a beautiful building. The shower pressure was spot on, room was tidy and the beds were comfortable. 3 adults stayed in the one room and we had plenty of space. Will absolutly recommend and will be back. Staff were very welcoming and helpful.

Cons:

We didnt find anything to fault.

OK but I won't go back
Pros:

The room is spacious and the bathroom new. One inside the room it's quiet enough.

Cons:

The room has a musty smell on entering. Due to the lack of ventilation the corridor by the room has a stale air smell. It seems that some of the apartments are used as longer term housing even emergency housing. I didn't feel unsafe but had I not been alone I doubt I'd have stayed the second night.

Excellent placement for what we needed and good price for 2 nights. Good that parking included.

Still needs some finishing off as plug in wall hanging down with wires, a potential hazard.
