Goog place to visit Matsumoto Castle
Pros:

Centrally located. Typical Japanese small hotel room - all available, but no extra space. Extra tip about Matsumoto area. Take a local train to Shiojiri, one can walk (25 min) or take local bus (every hour, 100 yen, can use IC-card or cash) to wineries for wine tasting

Cons:

Bed and pillow are quite hard
