The grounds were lovely and cool on a hot day. The staff were excellent and the food was good.
They should have closed the curtains to keep the sun off our room as it was an exceptionally hot day and the room was a sauna when we arrived. Our fan had barely any output, so a better fan or 2 fans would have been nice.
Garden grounds and food excellent.
No lift or air conditioning. Room was extremely hot. Fan had timer so had to keep resetting during the night. Mattress poor quality. Badly signposted and satnav directed to dead end in housing estate. Room wasn’t ready at 3pm but shown to alternative room.
The setting and outside was
Lovely and it was a really good breakfast
No lifts, the bathrooms needed a lot to be desired. The evening reception was not very help and far from happy. Shame as they day staff seemed far happier

Rooms could do with a repaint and the sofa was not very clean
The staff were excellent. Bar and food were great!
We had a basement room - unfortunately there was a wedding (which they do say there could be) but we were not prepared for the noise above us (probably kids having a great time).
All of downstairs was lovely, garden immaculate
Our room was a bit tired, needed a bit of a paint and shutters not great, I appreciate that they might have been original but needed attention or bypass and put blinds in front (like I think all the other rooms had)
The staff (Daisy) was extremely kind and helpful. The gardens are picturesque. Breakfast was served and delicious.
There was no wi-fi connection in our apartment because we were not in the main building but like in an annex. We also went to Southampton for our cruise the next day but it was not close to the terminals - cost anout 40 pounds by taxito get there. One bulb was flickering in the kitchen so it was annoying.
