Atmosphere and ambience was wonderful - and little touches here and there not usually found in a hotel.
Reception staff were a bit cold - barely looked up at us. But other members of staff made up for this. I had to wait for over 30 mins for my glass of wine - they were not busy, they just forgot. Waiting staff didnt really respond with any sense of urgency or apology.
Spectacular views from
Restaurant as well as our terrace. Liked that there was a dressing table with mirror and easy to reach plug points. Magnified mirror in bathroom. Great shower, although a little slippery (a slip mat might be an option)
Lack of variety on the menu.

Little cramped
The Tresanton is a very individual and stylish hotel arranged over three levels. Everywhere is beautifully designed and comfortable. Wonderful views on the dining terrace as we ate our breakfast over the harbour. Our bedroom had a great sea view and was extremely comfortable.

Both of us found the mattress too hard - but that is of course down to personal preference.
Missed having a fridge for milk etc
We loved the Hotel Tresanton. It was expensive but well worth it. We had room 26 which is very high so you should check the room number if you have any mobility issues. I would highly recommend this hotel. It was the highlight of our 24 day stay. Our server, Izzy in the bar was amazing.
Lovely, clean with an attentive friendly staff. St Mawes is a sweet Cornish location for a special holiday.
Menu a little boring , heavy on fish which is not my favorite.

The location and everything about the hotel was amazing. The food was exceptional and beautifully presented.
Work was being done on a new patio which will have wonderful views of the bay, but sadly was unfinished on our visit.
