Absolutely nothing. We had a confirmed booking for 8 rooms, yet when we arrived late at night, the hotel told us they were fully booked and had simply forgotten to cancel our reservation. We were left stranded in Nairobi at night with no accommodation, no meaningful assistance, and no concern for the serious inconvenience they had caused. Being told to simply “find another hotel” after relying on a confirmed booking was shocking, irresponsible, and completely unacceptable.
We had a very disappointing experience with Impala Hotel in Nairobi. We booked 8 rooms through Booking.com and received a confirmed reservation, so we travelled to Nairobi expecting our accommodation to be secured.
However, when we arrived in Nairobi late at night and called the hotel for directions, we were suddenly informed that the hotel was fully booked and that they had simply forgotten to cancel our reservation.
This left our entire group stranded late at night, trying to find another hotel at the last minute. What made the situation even worse was the way it was handled. When we asked how this could happen despite having a confirmed booking, there was very little concern or effort to assist us. We were simply told to find another hotel.
For a group travelling from another country and relying on a confirmed reservation, this was extremely stressful, inconvenient, and unprofessional. A confirmed booking should mean that the rooms are actually available, or at the very least, guests should be informed in advance if there is a problem.
Unfortunately, based on our experience, I would not recommend relying on a reservation with this hotel, especially for a group booking.

Your staff on date 7 September booked all spaces online and said we pay on premises which pays extra and for that reason I’m not visiting again or recommending anyone
