The location was great - convenient for both tourism and work. The hotel is clean and the staff helpful and friendly. It was a very comfortable location, within easy reach of both Duomo and the University of Milan - which was a big plus for me. There was also a safe for valuables - which was quite useful, and a small fridge - ideal for water. The air conditioning was adequate and the temperature in the room was pleasant during hot days. Although the street was bit noisy, this more than makes up for the wonderful location of this place. All in all, I will come back if I ever return to the city.
The breakfast area was rather cramped - there were often not enough tables for everyone to sit at around eight or nine, and it was difficult to have a peaceful cup of coffee not crowding everyone. But it's an old building - so probably difficult to organize the space to fit everyone's needs. Breakfast was basic, but the few choices were fresh and tasty, and the staff pleasant and always helpful.
Location was excellent. Very close to the Duomo and Galeria, so perfect for sightseeing. It was for a one night budget stay and the hotel ticked that box without being too cheap and cheerful
The keys have the largest keyrings known to man (so you don't take them out of the hotel)
