Hotel Paolo II

This hotel was a nice treat. It's not fancy - more like a B&B. If you're expecting the "grand hotel" experience, this is probably not the place for you.

However, if you prefer a quiet place in the neighborhood that's close to restaurants, the Vatican, and some shopping, then I recommend checking this one out. In full disclosure, the room was not perfect as there were some minor maintenance issues. But everything was clean and the room was a good size for this price point in Rome.

The staff was very accommodating and arranged pickup at the airport as well as a taxi to the train station. The common area is a bit cozy.

An extra shoutout to the staff for sending a forgotten item on to us at our next destination.

Location was excellent. Amosphere was quite quiet. Rooms were reasonable could do with a little maintenance,would have been nice to have windows and somewhere to sit outside. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Decent enough for a short stay with some good points and some negative points.

Perfectly placed for visiting the Vatican although a little bit out of the main centre, which isn’t much of an issue just that it feels a longer distance when walking in high temperatures.

Although we were well aware the only room windows were high up narrow transom type, by our third night the room was starting to feel a little oppressive. The bed wasn’t particularly comfortable nor were the pillows. The bathroom was modern, there was a free safe and a small fridge with a selection of paid mini bar items, plus a couple of complimentary bottles of water.

The air con unit was very noisy and although ear plugs were provided my ears are uncomfortable using them.

Breakfast was very basic but adequate to get you started, but the seating area was tiny.

Despite these points it has to be said all staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful. The whole hotel appeared clean inside.

Location to the Vatican. No more than a 10 minute walk. One short block away from a variety of restaurants and stores.

The location of this hotel is ideal. It’s secured in a courtyard so was very safe.the hotel staff were really friendly. Tje hotel had a lovely atmosphere. It was quiet . The rooms were spotless clean and spacious. Very modern. We had everything we needed. The continental breakfast set us up nicely for the day. Great value for money being so central. I would highly recommend this hotel and we will be visiting again.

Located in a charming secluded courtyard. No noise at all. The room was actually bigger than in the photos. Bathroom very good, well equipped. Tasty breakfast and nice staff. Perfect!

O funcionários são excelentes. A limpeza e roupas de cama e banho de boa qualidade. Bairro residencial, muito proximo ao Vaticano e estação de trem. Restaurantes locais a curta distancia.

Posizione eccellente, anche se difficile trovare parcheggio. Camere perfettamente pulite. Staff eccezionale e disponibile.
