Very beautiful and felt like a lovely mix of modern and classic Japanese style. Brilliant location not far from so many things.
There were hairs in our bath that didn’t belong to us, although I do appreciate that the bath is black so not easy to spot the hairs.
The hotel is beautiful and the room is comfortable and very clean. Breakfast has Japanese and western options and the food was really good.
Location is really good and very close to Yasaka pagoda.
We’ve felt the hotel price was too high for the quality of the facilities.

Des travaux en face de l’hôtel entre 08h00 et 18H00.
Penderie minimaliste sans étagère dans une chambre trop étroite ne permettant pas de laisser une valise ouverte au sol. Finalement, Impossible de ranger ces affaires ! Assez compliqué lorsque l’on reste plusieurs nuits…
Salle de bain beaucoup trop étroite. Impossible de tenir à 2 devant ce petit lavabo collé aux toilettes et ouvert sur la chambre.
Cabine de douche étouffante de max 4M2 avec un ressenti d’une proposition bas de gamme.
Ces défauts pourraient passer si le prix n’était pas aussi élevé.
Luxury in a luxury setting. Every thing you might except and more. A delicious breakfast, generous sized rooms, terrific onsen on site, supportive staff in immaculate hotel. Kyoto requires walking and this location is no exception.
I liked the silence and spa like feel. The room was quite nice.

The location is inconvenient. It is not really in Gyon, it is very to the side and far from the train.

The bar tender was not enthusiastic at all duri g my visit to the bar lounge.. Nevertheless more sake could be good

Great location, friendly and efficient staff. Nice happy hour each day.
Comfortable room, super location - we essentially walked to wherever we wanted to go - good breakfast (very good tempura station, with tempura being made fresh). We were greeted quite elaborately on arrival. The staff were helpful in arranging restaurant reservations. Took the hotel shuttle to the train station to catch our airport bus to Itami airport - that was convenient. Did not use the bath and other facilities that the hotel advertised, so cannot comment about those. The hotel was 'busier' than others we have stayed at - a lot of tourists.
wifi drifted quite a bit and it seemed necessary to tunr on and off the wifi switch on the phone and computer to captue the signal.
