More choices for breakfast
We booked a two-queen accessible room specifically because my mother has mobility issues and uses a wheelchair. Unfortunately, our stay was extremely disappointing.
Our original room was on the second floor and there was quite a lot of noise from the main highway. We managed to sleep through it on the first night, but the second night was a completely different story.
There was extremely loud and persistent stomping from the room above us, on and off for around 90 minutes. We had just flown from London to Newark and were already exhausted and jet-lagged, so the noise made it impossible to sleep.
I called reception and was told they would speak to the guests upstairs. The stomping continued. I called again and was told that they had spoken to them, but the noise still didn’t stop. By the third call, I was actually speaking to reception while the stomping was still happening. I was then told that the lady in the room above had said she was “just watching TV.” I found this response incredibly frustrating and dismissive, as though our repeated complaints about noise we could clearly hear were being questioned rather than taken seriously.
Eventually, I had to ask to be moved. Reception suggested moving us to the fourth floor so that we wouldn’t have anyone above us. However, despite the fact that we had specifically booked an accessible room because of my mother’s mobility problems, the replacement room was a standard room. It was extremely cramped and there was barely enough space to manoeuvre her wheelchair.
What made the situation worse was the complete lack of care in how the move was handled. Nobody from reception came upstairs to apologise or assist us. The new keycards and a luggage trolley were simply sent up with a member of staff who was unable to communicate with us in English. At a very late hour, we then had to pack up and move the belongings and luggage of three people.
Breakfast: Variety was good and area kept clean.
Came in at 8-9pm desk person was not at all polite. Later called front desk to see how to connect to Wi-Fi and she hung up the phone out of frustration because I couldn’t log in. I had to walk down to the reception area in order to get access to Wi-Fi.
Room was beautiful. Breakfast was outstanding. Staff was very friendly.
Our shower was not quite clean. It looked good but had hairs on the shower floor from a previous guest.
Very nice and great breakfast
Great location. Very clean room. Efficient front desk
The air conditioner in my room was very very noisy every time it went on. It woke me up. In addition the hallways did not have any air-conditioning. They’re very very warm since I didn’t check in till 9 PM. I did not tell the front desk about the air-conditioning until the morning and they were going to check in to see what’s wrong with it. before I ever accept the room again at this hotel, I will make sure the heater does not make noise because I’ll be there in the winter time.
I thought breakfast needs some improvement also. I did not feel that this was an excellent stay.
We had a great stay at the Bridgewater Hampton Inn. This hotel gets a 5 star rating for cleanliness, modern appearance and convenient location. I gave a rating of 4 for two reasons: (1) the sliding barn door on the bathroom does not stay closed so there was no real privacy and (2) the hotel currently does not offer any streaming services on the tv. In spite of this, I would absolutely recommend this hotel and stay here again.
Decent hotel for the money with big rooms
Heater in the room is noisy, breakfast is tasteless. Automatic curtain in the room did not work (had to pull it manually). Water pressure is not good for a enjoyable bath.
Very nice addition especially the fresh fruit and waffle maket
Convenience to family
Pulling into the parking lot can be dangerous with on coming cars.
The front desk was great & the rooms & food area was clean. Very nice hotel
