Lady on front desk was very helpful and friendly.
When they mentioned that the hotel was near a water park, I hadn't appreciated it was actually joined together, so worried it would be noisy - however, apart from a 5-6pm bit kids running up corridors it was quiet. In fact late evening it was really calm and quiet.
Used the laundry (good) and while I waited for the clothes I used the gym (small but good).
Comfy bed, clean room, good shower etc.
Location to main access roads, and hotel car parking was good.
Skipped breakfast, but grabbed coffee for the road each morning.
Overall a nice place.

The staff were very nice and tried to be helpful. The mold growing on the mattress on the pullout couch was disgusting and unacceptable. This is where my kids were planning on sleeping. The staff tried to help by providing a cot, but you can’t unsee the state of the mattress

Because our first trip to Rapid City was going to be longer than a week we wanted a room with a kitchen so we could save on meals and we chose this hotel.

The hotel is dated but generally ok. Certainly not as nice as newer Home2Suites properties. Room is small. Bed was comfortable although my wife said mattress caused her to have back soreness. Water pressure in shower was low. Staff was not as particularly helpful or friendly but responded to our questions and requests.

The HUGE issue was breakfast. Food was good but the layout/flow could not have been worse. This is compounded by the number of large families/groups. We found by waiting to eat until the last 15 minutes we could avoid the majority of the chaos even though food choices were diminished. When I discussed the mess with staff I was told a renovation is planned but no idea when that will happen. An interim solution appears obvious, simple and would probably require no more than an hour of time but they did not want to discuss the problem further.

We enjoyed Rapid City and may return but would not stay here again mostly because the property caters to families with children.

Stayed here for a week while on a work trip.
Rooms are a decent size with little kitchen area which is a huge plus. Also has a waterpark on-site as well as 2 restaurants, an arcade area and a bar. Offers free breakfast.
Some negatives are that it's pet friendly and the room next to mine seem to leave there dog in the room unattended and the dog would bark non stop for hours. Bathroom wasn't cleaned properly; hairs in the sink and shower as well as the bathroom floor.

My husband and I had been traveling several days and normally we try to stay at Hiltons. I booked and paid for the location online. The cost was a little more expensive than I normally experience it was tourist season, I settled for the price as we were both exhausted from traveling. We went to check in and saw many parents and their children in the lobby running around and screaming as children can do. When the girl checking me in asked if I wanted a key to the waterpark, I said no due to just wanting to rest. The next morning I asked about the cost and she said the cost included the water park and whether I used the park or not, the cost was included in the lodging. If I had any idea I was paying for the water Park I would have taken advantage of it. If only the girl checking us in gave us that info, we could have enjoyed the park. Also the situation of the breakfast area is way too small for so many people. There was a mom in line making 3 waffles and the line was being held up. The area was crawling with adults and children. It certainly is not a good way to start the morning. If passing through again, I will save approx $60 and stay at one of the nearby hotels.
On a better note, our room was very nice and clean and to my surprise, there was only a short time I could hear kids screaming. They wound down pretty quick.
