Vira a very nice cleaning lady did an amazing job and really gave it her all when it came to our room and making us feel welcomed
The one housekeeper was extremely friendly and kind.
The front desk staff were rude, dismissive, and short when talking to us. The bed was unmade when we got into the room, we didn’t have enough towels (no big deal but just added to everything), the inside of the elevator was vandalized, the TV was so glitchy it made it impossible to watch anything, the telephone was broken and had a loud buzzing sound which made it impossible to talk/hear, and the breakfast in the morning took 45 minutes! We were one of the first seated, but we thought it would have been continental style.
We held our 2026 women’s conference at Holiday Inn Calgary South Conference Centre and truly felt supported every step of the way from our very first inquiry about availability up to the end of yesterday’s event. It was a 6-hour conference, and the staff, especially Angela, Heidi, Nieves, and Rica, were incredibly warm, patient, and attentive to all our needs. They made the entire experience smooth, stress-free, and so welcoming for everyone. We left feeling genuinely happy and grateful, and from now on, Holiday Inn will definitely be our first choice for future events and room stays.
Had such a great experience! We arrived on my birthday and the room was beautifully made up. Big shout out to Nieves for the awesome birthday surprise. What a great hotel, will definitely be back

I had an outstanding experience staying at the Holiday Inn Calgary, especially with the incredible team at the Blackfoot Inn.
From the moment I arrived, Heidi, Nieves, Dohsa, and Rica went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. Their level of service was exceptional — friendly, professional, and genuinely attentive. You can tell they take real pride in what they do, and it shows in every interaction.
The entire staff was great, but these individuals stood out in a big way. They made the stay feel easy, welcoming, and genuinely enjoyable, which is not something you always get when traveling.
The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, but what truly sets this place apart is the people. Heidi, Nieves, Dohsa, and Rica are a huge part of that.
Management should take note — this team is a serious asset to your property. They deserve recognition and absolutely deserve a raise for the level of service they provide.
Highly recommend staying here. I’ll definitely be back.

This place far EXCEEDED my expectations! I can't praise the staff and service enough! We were treated like family. Very welcoming.
The price was outstanding, - considerably lower than other comparable hotels nearby.
Our room was beautiful, superbly clean, bed was comfortable. The shower was absolutely PERFECT! The exact right water flow, perfect pressure, nice even distribution of water flow... This is often hit and miss with hotels... Holiday Inn is a hit!
The staff were very accommodating with our last minute booking. My daughter had a fabulous time on the waterslides, while I enjoyed the hot tub.
Room climate controls did exactly what we needed and quickly. We tend to be a bit cold so we adjust temp higher during stays. Often it's a struggle to get rooms to a comfortable temperature, but we were warm and cozy.
The fridge didn't freeze our fruit and drinks. Honestly, this is the first time we find a hotel where the fridge wasn't set to freeze everything in it. I didn't have to throw out any leftover, soggy fruit when we left. It's the little things.... :)
Breakfast was fantastic. One particular staff member went out of his way to help, when he saw my daughter and I struggling with her medications while trying to get her some food. He swooped in, smiled, started asking her if she liked crepes.. Then he left and came back with a beautiful plate of crepes. We didn't even have to go to the buffet table, and my daughter ate her first full meal since we'd arrived in town the night before last.
I could say so much more.
Did I mention the staff were incredible?
I will be staying here again and again.
If i had to critique anything, I'd just suggest flipping the glass shower doors so they open the opposite side, so you can reach your towel without having to step out of the shower to reach it...
Otherwise, fantastic in every other area.
Nieves with housekeeping was great! And Rachel too! They looked after our messy room. The room after was SPOTLESS clean and fully stocked.
