It was way better than I was expecting and I was very pleased by the friendliness, the breakfast.
Pros:

Pet friendly, Breakfast was great, bed was comfortable. Place was very clean, parking was convenient. staff was friendly.

Probably won’t stay here ever again. Left a bad taste in our mouth.

The one housekeeper was extremely friendly and kind.

Cons:

The front desk staff were rude, dismissive, and short when talking to us. The bed was unmade when we got into the room, we didn’t have enough towels (no big deal but just added to everything), the inside of the elevator was vandalized, the TV was so glitchy it made it impossible to watch anything, the telephone was broken and had a loud buzzing sound which made it impossible to talk/hear, and the breakfast in the morning took 45 minutes! We were one of the first seated, but we thought it would have been continental style.

2026 Women’s Conference
Pros:

We held our 2026 women’s conference at Holiday Inn Calgary South Conference Centre and truly felt supported every step of the way from our very first inquiry about availability up to the end of yesterday’s event. It was a 6-hour conference, and the staff, especially Angela, Heidi, Nieves, and Rica, were incredibly warm, patient, and attentive to all our needs. They made the entire experience smooth, stress-free, and so welcoming for everyone. We left feeling genuinely happy and grateful, and from now on, Holiday Inn will definitely be our first choice for future events and room stays.

Excellent birthday surprise
Pros:

Had such a great experience! We arrived on my birthday and the room was beautifully made up. Big shout out to Nieves for the awesome birthday surprise. What a great hotel, will definitely be back

I had an outstanding experience staying at the Holiday Inn Calgary, especially with the incredible team at the Blackfoot Inn.

From the moment I arrived, Heidi, Nieves, Dohsa, and Rica went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. Their level of service was exceptional — friendly, professional, and genuinely attentive. You can tell they take real pride in what they do, and it shows in every interaction.

The entire staff was great, but these individuals stood out in a big way. They made the stay feel easy, welcoming, and genuinely enjoyable, which is not something you always get when traveling.

The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, but what truly sets this place apart is the people. Heidi, Nieves, Dohsa, and Rica are a huge part of that.

Management should take note — this team is a serious asset to your property. They deserve recognition and absolutely deserve a raise for the level of service they provide.

Highly recommend staying here. I’ll definitely be back.
