basically all i can say is WHAT STAY!!
Cons:

Maybe if after paying only a few days before we hadnt had to turn up to find the hotel completely shut down under renovation and then had to find somewhere else to stay for 6 people I might have had better things to say about it.

Amazing place to spend the night or two if you are travel long through Scotland and need a stop.
Pros:

The staff was super friendly, the room was clean and had everything we needed (even little biscuits and chocolates!). The view of the lake right across was beautiful. Food was good as well, we had dinner and breakfast there. It’s a cute little place in a quiet neighborhood with a character, we enjoyed our stay. Thank you!😊

Cons:

The floor in the room was creepy and we were worried we’d wake someone up as we usually get up early. I guess it’s just because the building itself is a bit old and might need some patching here and there.

First class stay in the Arrochar Alps
Pros:

Great place for an overnight stay, tasty grub, lovely, eclectic, traditional bar and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The room was as described and comfortable. We were lucky enough to stay on an evening when folk music was on and it was great to be in a roomful of happy and friendly people. We spent most of our time hiking in the beautiful nearby mountains and enjoying the stunning local scenery around Lochs Lomond and Long. We left wanting to go back.

Cons:

Everything was great.

A great local place to stay and well positioned for touristy stuff.
Pros:

The room was great with a fantastic view over Loch Long.

Staff were friendly and engaging.

There was plenty of space outside to have a evening drink and the dining facilities were very good.

The food (evening meal and breakfast were generously proportioned and good value.

Cons:

Genuinely liked everything and wish we could have stayed longer.

Pros:

Nice big comfortable bed. Large bath which was great and the shower was good.

Cons:

Service in the dining room was atrocious, total lack of sufficient staff, one girl trying to do everything and doing it very slowly. Glasses not collected from outside tables, still all there the next morning, again lack of staff.
Dining room could do with a refurb, old and tired and somewhat tacky with all the plastic/artificial flowers. Food very expensive and not good at all.

Management issues
Pros:

Good village pub but understaffed.

Cons:

There was no white wine and at dinner there were no mussels, no smoked salmon and no sea bass. Staff rushed off their feet. They did their best but they were sooo busy. One person to serve the whole dining room for breakfast.

POOR
Pros:

The two hardworking, possibly overworked staff.

Cons:

Room with virtually no storage space, poorly fitted shower screen leading to a soaking floor, and insufficient towels.
Food was not good, and the breakfast presentation was poor.

Lovely accommodation if you are happy to go to sleep a bit later at the weekend.
Pros:

Spacious, characterful and clean bed and bathroom. Body lotion and tissues provided. Tunnock's goodies in the room and tattie scones at breakfast were highlights!

Cons:

Several items amiss in bedroom: one bedside light did not work (and bulb had been removed); mini fridge appeared to be on (with light) but was not at all cool so turned it off to avoid the quiet hum. Toilet roll holder was loose and wobbly. The only coffee in the room was decaff (even on second day, after room had been serviced again). Biscuits etc were good but there were no saucers or little plates in room, so nothing to eat them off.
Breakfast was good overall but there were no additional knives to spread butter (either on table or at the front buffet- one was provided when requested). Toffee was the only flavour of yoghurt available on the second morning and there was no fruit on offer.
We were prevented from going to sleep by the live music in the pub on the Saturday night so recommend avoiding if you like to sleep before 11pm!
At check-in, was asked when I booked. Slightly odd question and I offered my booking reference but did not feel particularly welcomed.
On handing key back, I was bid farewell but not asked if "everything was okay" so feedback was not encouraged.
