Ascott Marunouchi Tokyo - Excellent Hotel
Pros:

The rooms were spacious, quiet, nicely appointed and kept spotless. The kitchen was useful for quick, small meals. The location was a 7 minute walk to Tokyo station for us. The staff were friendly and helpful on check in, check out & helping us forward luggage to the next hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

Cons:

Just be aware it takes about 4 hours to do one load of laundry, so you will need to plan for that. A small inconvenience to have nicely clean clothes!

I had booked my stay for 6 nights. I landed in Tokyo and by an overnight flight, and I checked into the hotel act 10 o'clock in the morning.. What ten thirty I fought a guest who is staying with you for 7 nights, you could not offer him a complimentary early check in. The lady at the front desk told me that i will have to pay extra if I wanted to check-in at 10:30 AM for a guest who has taken and one night flight. And this is the second time I'm staying for longstain with you. This was quite unexpected and very annoying. I showed my displeasure on being asked to pay extra for early checking, and it was only a matter of few hours. But the lady insisted that she will not give me a complimentary early check-in being disgusted. I had to pay, and I got an early check.In done.

I called my sister to stay with us. Who joined us from Kobe? She too it was asked to pay for early check-in. I was hosting a and I paid for early checking this fight. I've heard checking in at 12:30. This is awful customer service. Especially when it comes two or repeat guest.

My stay in Ascott Marunouchi Tokyo was truly impeccable! Everything, from the spaciousness of the room to a great location, was wonderful.

The hotel is located near the Tokyo Station (15 min by foot) and the Emperor Garden (7 min by foot). The view, by the way, was exciting as well – I’ve been enjoying it 24/7 for the whole stay. The hotel is 3 minutes walking to the nearest metro station, which is one of the greatest hubs in Tokyo you could find.

Despite the central location, it is completely silent here, especially at night, and a comfortable bed guarantees you the best sleep (even if it is a 4-hour sleep, like during my trip).

I would also like to mention that the room was squeaky-clean all the time during my stay. I have never seen such a great job by the staff. Also, the staff at the check-in counter was kind and helpful as well.

All in all, I would like to return to Ascott Marunouchi, and would recommend this hotel to anyone who travels to Tokyo!

Brilliant with a great view
Pros:

Staff were fantastic! Room was delightful and comfortable. We booked the pool on arrival and it was lovely, with a great view! We asked the reception staff to make a dinner reservation for us (1 hour before) and they did so and found a lovely spot!

Cons:

This is not really a fair comment because the breakfast was one of the best we have had in Japan. But it is just that, a Japan buffet breakfast so not much aside from cornflakes and pastries for those who don’t wish a stew or fish for breakfast. This is an unfair comment as the breakfast provided is a staple breakfast for Japan.
