Look for better options.
Pros:

Very friendly staff, as in whole Japan

Cons:

The reality was far away from pictures presented. First, use google street to see the reality. Two, smells in the apartment - at random you could smell toilet odors. Three, actual bathroom. Forget about candles, plants provided on the pictures. Four, breakfast is being delivered to your room as is (no actual selection)., If you are not into Japanese style (miso soup, raw fish, rice, etc.) you could ask for a "western style" one, with cold fried eggs. Our family skipped those as well. There is no common area. The hotel is actually a house converted into separate rooms, pretty used furniture, carpet and scratches on the wall. The location itself, too far for walking around the city, uber on daily usage.

Pros:

Pros:

浴槽の信楽焼きと高濃度の水素風呂が完備されていて、京都旅の暑さや疲れを癒されて、極上のリラクゼーションと浴室のミュージックにて、心身共にリフレッシュ出来ました。とても贅沢な時間を過ごせました。

Beautiful boutique hotel
Pros:

We had a lovely stay at this hotel! It is a small boutique hotel with I think only 8 rooms. It is in a quiet area of Kyoto which has a number of cute local coffee and gallery spaces nearby. There are lots of accomodation options in Kyoto - we chose this one because they offer a traditional Japanese breakfast that can be prepared gluten free. It did not disappoint and was an excellent way to start our days! But beyond that, I’m so happy we decided to stay here as it was a beautiful room which gave us a great base for exploring.

Our room was on the top floor, it was a great size, the bed comfy and the tatami seating area was a lovely addition giving us a nice spot to rest after days of walking. A highlight is the bath and the ability to have relaxing music played within that area. The reception is staffed 24 hours. The staff were very kind and helpful. I hope that we can visit again in the future!

Fantastic Stay! Great Value!
Pros:

Awesome bathroom tub and very comfortable bed. Breakfast is brought in from local shops and is Japanese style only. A delicious French bakery serving hot Western breakfasts is only a 7 min walk away if you ask the front desk. The staff are superb!!

Very disappointing stay. This hotel is advertised as 5-star, but it felt more like a 2-star property. Upon checking in, I found mould around the bath and several broken cupboards, with the overall condition and maintenance well below expectations. I paid AUD $3,900 for my stay but was so disappointed that I checked out just one hour after arriving. The cleanliness and quality were nowhere near 5-star standard. I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.

Absolutely amazing!
Pros:

The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, the bath room was definitely a highlight of my stay. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful which made things very easy for us, and gave excellent suggestions for places to go. I can't overstate how lovely they were. I will definitely come here next time I visit Kyoto.

Cons:

Taxi drivers had some difficulty finding it as they kept getting it mixed up with the sister hotel. Even giving the hotel business card didn't help
