Very clean, beautiful breakfast with lots of nice little extra touches. Parking for every room. Superb location. Good room service

Cons:

It didn't spoil our trip but a little point worth noting if you are at the top of the hotel, the steps are extremely narrow and spiral with low ceilings on the landing and bathroom. My husband is tall and bumped his head several times, cutting it once- there's no safety markings. Just worth noting if this might be a problem for you

So glad we found this hotel...
Pros:

All that we wanted in a small independent hotel. Great attention to detail; great location for central Bury St Edmunds, free parking, lovely breakfast with some organic options. Would be happy to recommend.

Cons:

Bathroom lights were very bright.

Fabulous stay in beautiful historic building close to town centre
Pros:

Lovely well presented hotel. Very friendly helpful staff. Lovely breakfast served in a delightful breakfast room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

We had a very nice stay with our friends, would definitely recommend the place to others.
Pros:

Rooms were quaint, location very convenient and not in the high traffic area, breakfast amazing and staff excellent

Cons:

Curved Stairs to the top floor were a little challenging but again quaint.

Highly recommend this well located, well run place with excellent breakfast
Pros:

It was in a good location in the centre of town, lovely period property but well modernised and attractively decorated. Had all the facilities we wanted (tea/coffee making, iron and board, fan etc). Staff friendly and helpful and breakfast very good indeed

Cons:

It didn’t have air con but that is often the case with very old properties. The fan and general ventilation kept us comfortable
