Location was brilliant, amazing double twin room to share with a friend - clean, plenty space and great facilities. Rooftop bar was great too. Fod at guest services was incredible and so helpful during our entire stay. Will return!

Milk in room was off, bathroom door didn’t work as off it’s roller but when I reported, there was an accusatory air! Took £100 over the cost on arrival but refused to provide any proof of this credit when leaving.
We stayed at the Virgin Hotel Shoreditch to celebrate my wife’s 50th birthday—and let me tell you, they didn’t just meet expectations, they absolutely sprinted past them wearing sequins and carrying a cake.
From the moment we arrived, the staff were on another level. Jonathan checked us in with such charm and efficiency that I briefly considered asking him to move in and organise my entire life.
Then came the dream team: Carmelia, Fod, and Fatena—who clearly have secret superpowers. Not only did they arrange a beautiful surprise, but they somehow produced a cake, flowers, and balloons that made the room look like the 50th birthday HQ of dreams. My wife was blown away (and I got most of the credit, which I was very happy to accept—thank you, team!).
The whole hotel has this effortlessly cool Shoreditch vibe—like it knows it’s stylish but doesn’t need to brag about it.
Service throughout was spot-on: friendly, genuine, and never over the top—just the right balance of “we’ve got you” without making you feel like you're being supervised on a school trip.

I had a great experience thanks to the excellent staff. When the outlets in my room weren’t working, Carmelia quickly checked with engineering and kept me informed. Although the issue couldn’t be fully resolved until the next morning, she promptly arranged a room change without any hassle. Her communication was clear and proactive throughout, and she handled everything efficiently. After a long day of travel, her help really made a difference.
Great location in the heart of Shoreditch. Clean rooms and modern atmosphere, however, the room was a bit small and had no view outside. The service was great. Especially Fob and his team Jonathan and Carmelia at the front desk were always very kind and accommodating.
I had an exceptional stay at the Virgin Hotels Shoreditch, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. This was a business trip, and from start to finish the experience was outstanding.
A very special thank you to Carmelia, who truly went above and beyond to take care of every detail and made me feel genuinely looked after throughout my stay. Her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made a real difference. I also want to highlight Fetiha, whose beautiful smile and welcoming presence consistently brightened every interaction , she is a real asset to the team.
Beyond them, the entire staff was spectacular. Every member of the team I encountered was friendly, efficient, and genuinely committed to great service.
In fact, the experience was so good that I had to leave for 24 hours to Spain, and I chose to return to the same hotel immediately afterward , something I don’t do lightly when traveling for work.
I will absolutely be staying here again on all my future business trips to London. Virgin Hotels Shoreditch has set a very high standard for hospitality.
Roof top pool and bar a stylish treat

The staff at reception were fabulous, friendly and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and well appointed.
The breakfast (which is provided by a different company on the rooftop bar on floor 7) was incredibly slow. Whilst there was a very helpful and pleasant young lady who provided excellent service, and apologised and brought us extra OJ, she seemed to be trying to get the 2 young men to work. When we arrived at the restaurant, no one came to greet us so we went inside the restaurant. We were then told by one of the male staff that his colleague would come and see to us. This took a while. Everything took
Longer than it needed to. From arriving to finishing breakfast (hot drink, orange juice and a warm breakfast) was about an hour and a quarter.
Whilst the flood was good, we had to wolf it down as we were due to check out out any minute.
We had been warned that the hotel had been having problems, and that they could recommend somewhere else for breakfast, we had already spent £50? To include breakfast in our room rate.
Location good and clean
Very small, and we were told the roof terrance bar/pool area was closed for the 2 nights we stayed for private events. It might have been nice to have been notified of this in advance . Also we were u able to claim virgin points because we booked through here, so that was quite disappointing

Bar Facilities are run by a separate company. Didn't have space in the downstairs bar at 7pm for a drink. Tried upstairs on the rooftop bar but was told we couldn't just have drinks we had to order food as well, so we had to find a bar away from the hotel just to enjoy a drink
Mi experiencia en este hotel fue en general correcta en cuanto a instalaciones y servicio, pero hubo un detalle importante que me dejó una sensación agridulce.
Durante nuestra estancia coincidía con mi cumpleaños, y sinceramente esperábamos, aunque fuera, un pequeño gesto por parte del hotel.
No se trata de algo material ni costoso, sino de un simple detalle (una felicitación, una tarjeta o algo simbólico).
Viajamos siempre por estas fechas, y en todos los hoteles de distintos países en los que nos hemos alojado, suelen tener en cuenta para hacer la estancia más especial.
En este caso, no hubo absolutamente ninguna mención, lo cual resultó decepcionante.
Creo que cuidar estos pequeños aspectos marca la diferencia en la experiencia del cliente y transmite un trato más cercano y personalizado.
You really do feel the difference as you walk through the doors! Very much personal service and attention. We stayed for 3 days and the staff always was sure to ask if we needed help. Mr. Gokhan Vardar, the front house manager, was especially helpful and eagar to make sure we had a pleasant stay in London!
At check out the front desk staff walked us out across and down the street to make sure we had the right direction to the train station! Really personal serice which we will never forget! Thanks for a great stay! We will look for other Virgin properties during our future travels.
Enjoyed our time here in this stylish hotel. Comfortable bedding and towels. Look of the hotel is fantastic. Near some excellent restaurants, not too far from the major train station Liverpool. Close walk to shopping and food stalls and vintage shops of Brick Lane and Spitalfields Market. The lounge was a great place to unwind at the end of the day, music and space were lovely, cocktails were special. If you’re a person who enjoys all that, great place to stay in East London. There’s a mixture of grit and artsy style in this part of town. We are city people, so we enjoyed it.
