Lovely Southwold Short Stay

Pros:

The bedroom was fabulous and we had a balcony with lovely views, bed was very comfortable and everywhere was clean, staff were lovely and the breakfast was great, different to a usual full English.

Pros:

A delightful quirky place to stay, very simple in style but super friendly
Pros:

Really attractive place right on the beach, which is what we wanted. Extra friendly and helpful staff. We were right up in the roof of the building and it had been cleverly designed to accommodate the double bed, and we loved it that in one direction we looked at the beach, and through the other we could look uninterrupted across the grassland behind.

Cons:

The bath was in the room and there was no shower - we could manage but it was quite confined. And the loo and sink in the en suite were cramped to say the least - quite "in the room". The stairs up to the room were steep so maybe wouldn't have suited an elderly guest? Quite a long walk to the main town!

Cons:

The only thing at fault was the bed in room 4 - it not even so my husband rolls in to the creese which is not in the middle of the bed

Disappointing breakfast
Pros:

The room was very comfortable and clean

Cons:

Very disappointed with breakfast as on arrival my wife asked if they had soya milk because of intolerance to dairy, she was told yes we do, at breakfast the waiter when she asked said no only oat milk, fortunately she had bought some long life with her in a flask and had oatifkakes cereal with her too, so she just asked for a bowl and spoon. They didn't seem very interested on her needs. I was expecting a full English breakfast but it was all put into a wrap, which was not good. Also the table was sticky.
We didn't stay for breakfast the second morning. I wonder how people with certain allergies would get on here!

Great little hotel in good location
Pros:

Good location just out if town with easy walk into town. Very near the beach. Breakfast which was included was excellent & coffee was best ever.

Cons:

Dinning area very busy & noisy as it seems a lot of non residents eat there. Be better if they kept some tables just for residents.

Pros:

This was a very clean, comfortable room with an excellent shower and plenty of tea & coffee in the room. It was equally near the beach and the main village. They were very kind and let me leave my car in the car park after I had checked out as I was not returning home until the evening.

Cons:

The breakfast was good but didn't include ordinary eggs and bacon, plain fruit or cereals, which could have been improved.

Friendly staff, laid back, I was on my own with my two little girls and they were so kind to us. lots of tea options! And breakfast was fab.
