Really liked the location. Hotel was very clean. Rooms fine. Very expensive for what we experienced. Wouldn’t particular
Pros:

Good location. Had valet parking. Room very clean and comfortable. View ok.

Cons:

So busy.
There seem to be several weddings going on. We tried to get Service sitting at the ground floor bar but it was impossible to get served. The lift took forever each time we went wanted to go in it. We went up to the rooftop swimming pool which she was much smaller than seem to be described. We had to wait for ages for Service at the bar. However, the bar person who served us was very nice. The pool became extremely crowded so there was nowhere to sit. There were many children in the swimming pool. One of the reasons for going to The Hotel was to be able to swim which I therefore couldn’t do.

Excelent location, gorgeous views, amazing staff. Can't wait to visit again!
Pros:

The location was fantastic, as it was right on the Wharf, so there was plenty to see and do. The hotel staff were amazing and upgraded my room for my husband and my wedding anniversary. We had booked a room with the wharf view but they gave us a river view with a balcony. Walking into the room the first time and every day after was such a treat. It was just perfect for our anniversary. Before our stay, I had been in touch with Shujaat Khan-the chief concierge who helped coordinate prior arrangements like getting our room decorated. Shujaat demonstrated genuine care and an exceptional level of customer service. We were provided complimentary treats to mark the occasion. Trey at the front desk was especially helpful and friendly always made us feel welcome and looked after. We will certainly be staying again.

Cons:

I didn't dislike anything. The only thing I can say is that it should be clear to customers with rooms that include breakfast that breakfast has a certain value, and beyond that, the customer will need to pay. We found this out when we were checking out. We were also told that we would receive our depositi 4-5 weeks later, but we're still waiting for it :)

Great massage and spa lounge
Pros:

We did not stay at the hotel but used the spa. Phides understood the assignment. Great massage with expert knowledge of how muscles work. Relaxing but technical. The lounge area is a plus. You can relax before and after, with great views of the water, tea and snacks.

Always a Welcoming Experience
Pros:

Living at the Wharf, we definitely have our choice of top restaurants. Willowsong is always our go to. Chef Jeff, Stephen. Jeremiah and the entire team are top notch and make you feel like it’s your first visit every time you walk through the door.

Fabulous dinner!
Pros:

Fabulous dinner at Willowsong! Chef Jeff never disappoints and the staff tending bar and taking care of dinner guests are first class! Nice relaxed atmosphere. We’ll be back!

Perfect hotel for WASHINGTON
Pros:

Wow, this was our first stop in America and it’s set the bar incredibly high. We checked in late and took a stroll down to the tiki bar (would highly recommend for locally produced rum and a great vibe), the next day we headed out into the city (you can uber or walk) and it was spectacular. The staff are all lovely and the hotel is wonderfully decorated and modern. Breakfast was delicious (highly recommend sitting outside by the river). Then we spent the afternoon up at the rooftop bar and pool (please refer to the images) with sweeping views across downtown Washington and the river it’s truly picturesque, not to mention all the landmarks you can see while lounging by the pool. The whole afternoon was made even better by the wonderful bar tender Moises, supplying us with great chat, delicious drinks (highly recommend his Moscow mule) and local knowledge. A truly fantastic setup!

Loved all aspects of this trip!
Pros:

Excellent location. Easy to navigate. Access to everything we needed and more. Impressed with cleanliness, which we’ve come to appreciate more and more as compared to competitors’ similar hotels at which we’ve stayed recently at higher costs. Pool interior was smaller than we expected, but it didn’t matter much because the rooftop is absolutely gorgeous and had an attentive outdoor bar well-stocked. CVS next door if needed.

Front desk was responsive, accommodating, and anticipatory of our questions or potential needs with their recommendations. I love that guests can finally use chat/text on the IHG app plus get a copy of final bill with digital check-out.

Was less than a mile on easy footpath or riding paths to Smithsonian Mall, Spy Museum, BEP, Holocaust Museum, Jefferson Monument, and other places. Scooters and bikes available to rent all over the place, so we rode those to Capitol one day too. Walking the Wharf for shops and playing games at Boardwalk were also a lot of fun.

Glad we had access to restaurant on-property and room service. Restaurant was always in very high demand with limited space to accommodate, so get your name in early and be prepared for a queue of complaints trying to get their way faster…felt really bad for the workers when customers were so impatient and their teams were working as fast as they could, even called in extra help who were not supposed to be there originally. If so upset, customers should’ve gone to one of the other 10+ nearby restaurants of similar options that were also open at any given time of making a scene.
