Pros:

The hotel was wonderful, with a lovely atmosphere and great music by the pool. The food was delicious, and most importantly, everything was very clean, both in the room and around the pool.

The staff were incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive, especially the hotel manager, who made us feel truly welcome.

The location is also great — it’s close to the city of Rethymno, with tavernas and shops nearby.

Thank you, Rethymno Palace, for your wonderful hospitality! We truly enjoyed our stay. ❤️

Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was quite disappointing.

The location is very poor, especially for anyone who wants to enjoy the sea. The beach is covered with very large stones, making it almost impossible to swim, which basically forces guests to use the pool. For a hotel like this, having such an unusable sea was a huge disappointment. If spending time in the sea is important to you, I would definitely not recommend this hotel.

The food selection is also extremely limited for the price you pay. During meal times, you cannot even get your own drinks — everything has to be brought by the waiters. Since they clearly cannot serve every table on time, you are lucky if your cola arrives before you have finished your meal. 😏😒 Is this really what an all-inclusive hotel experience is supposed to be?

I would also like to mention the staff in the spa area. Unfortunately, we experienced such a rude and disrespectful attitude from the staff that we felt extremely uncomfortable. After that experience, we never used the spa again.

Overall, we were very disappointed and would not choose this hotel again.

Schönes, sauberes und zentral gelegenes Hotel mit engagiertem Team
Pros:

Das Hotel ist sehr sauber, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet, schön eingerichtet und haben einen Kühlschrank.
Wir haben All inklusive gebucht: Das Essen war sowohl zum Frühstück, als auch mittags und natürlich auch abends sehr vielfältig, frisch und immer sehr gut.
Die Getränke wurden durchgängig serviert bzw. konnte man sich an den jeweiligen Bars zu jeder Zeit Getränke holen.
Der im All inklusive Paket servierte Weiß-Wein war ein lokaler Wein aus Flaschen und wirklich sehr gut, sowohl zu den Essen als auch an den Bars. Auch das Bier und andere Getränke sind gut bzw. sehr gut.
Das Hotel liegt direkt am Meer: es gibt einen wunderbaren Pool (mit vielen Liegen) und direkt dahinter Zugang zum Meer mit weiteren Liegen. Pro Person erhält man ein Handtuch, welches man für den Pool und Strandbereich nutzen kann => das Reservieren der Liegen wird hiermit optimiert, so dass jeder Gast nur einen Platz reservieren kann und nicht parallel mehrere.... zudem hat das Hotel Anweisungen bzgl. der Liegen-Reservierungen ausgehängt, so dass für jeden Gast eine Liege zur Verfügung steht, im Normalfall.

Direkt vor dem Hotel startet die Einkaufspromenade, inkl Mini-Supermarkt, Kleidung und diversen, lokalen Mitbringsel.

Mir hat das Hotel sehr gut gefallen, insbesondere weil das Personal sehr engagiert und freundlich ist.

Cons:

An der Strandbar werden teilweise noch Plastikbecher benutzt: Dies will das Hotelmanagement abschaffen und ergreift bereits aktiv Maßnahmen zur Optimierung.

Ne-a plăcut foarte mult această proprietate datorită atmosferei plăcute, curățeniei și confortului oferit. Locația este foarte bună, iar totul este bine organizat și îngrijit. Ne-am simțit foarte bine pe toată durata șederii și am apreciat în mod special atenția la detalii și liniștea. Cu siguranță am reveni cu drag și am recomanda proprietatea și altor persoane.

Decepcionante para un hotel de 5 estrellas

La estancia no cumplió nuestras expectativas, por lo que nos resulta difícil destacar aspectos positivos.

Cons:

La experiencia no estuvo a la altura de lo que esperábamos de un hotel de 5 estrellas. El establecimiento se percibe bastante antiguo y tanto las instalaciones como las habitaciones necesitarían una actualización y un mejor mantenimiento.
Durante nuestra estancia, el aire acondicionado no funcionaba correctamente, lo que afectó bastante al confort.
Además, nos sorprendió que algunos servicios que consideramos básicos en un hotel de esta categoría supusieran un coste adicional, como el uso de la caja fuerte, que se cobra por día. Para utilizar las toallas de la piscina también era necesario dejar un depósito por cada toalla, algo que nos pareció poco acorde con la categoría del establecimiento.
Por otro lado, el horario del desayuno, hasta las 10:00 h, nos pareció demasiado limitado, especialmente tratándose de un hotel de 5 estrellas.
En definitiva, consideramos que la relación entre la categoría anunciada y los servicios e instalaciones ofrecidos no se corresponde con lo que esperábamos de un 5 estrellas.

They present them selfs as a 5 stars hotel but it is not more than maximum 3 stars and also this I’m not sure.
Very old furniture and very old bad sheets, so old that it looks not clean, bad smell in the room. The matras in the pool in very old snd dirty. We received a tawel pool so old that they were ripped.

A relaxing holiday
Pros:

My favourite part of our stay at this hotel was, without a doubt, the staff. After just a couple of days, it felt like genuine friendships were being made. They also remembered our usual orders and preferences and always made us feel seen and cared for. You can truly feel that there’s a hardworking team behind this hotel, genuinely committed to making every guest’s stay as pleasant as possible.

The very large and sea view room with jacuzzi on the terrace, the kindness of the majority of the staff and same of the plates of the buffet dinner menu (excellent soups, large choice of fruits, very good cakes)
