Pros:

Clean comfortable room. Dog friendly. Park over the road. Nice bar next door, good, reasonably priced food. Fairy lights in breakfast room :)

Friendly staff and an ideal location providing perfect value for money!
Pros:

Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was 10/10 with excellent portion sizes and very fresh!

Location was ideal for both Scotland and North England!

Would not hesitate to recommend and would definitely stay again if in the area!

Visiting family in the Borders
Pros:

Excellent & warm welcome, everything was explained in regards to breakfast times, car parking. Bar area etc. The staff were all very welcoming and happy. The breakfast was amazing, free car parking was a bonus 👌

Cons:

We were in a top floor double bedded room which was ok for us but our old dog struggled on the steep stairs up to the top.

Very comfortable and hospitable hotel and bar.
Pros:

Breakfast was superb - plenty of choice, and cooked breakfast was plentiful and with a great variety of items (including wonderful black pudding and haggis). I had a veggie breakfast on day 2, and this even had vegetarian haggis included, and again a huge portion. Room was spacious and comfortable. Bar was friendly with good beer.

Cons:

The only downside was the lack of immediate grassy area for dog but there are two parks very nearby.

I would stay here again.
Pros:

Good location, ideal for a one night stop over. Friendly staff.
