L’accueil et le charme de l’hôtel
Lovely boutique hotel with a quirky feeling. Luxury feel but good prices. Quite well located for Docklands.
Getting to/from Docklands isn't great.
Clean, well kept and decorated exceptionally well. Air con in the rooms which helped with the heat! Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and couldn’t do enough for you.
The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was big enough that it didnt feel cramped if two people where in it
The bar doesnt open very late, so if you want drinks or food late at night you either need to bring it in with you or get it delivered by one of the apps
Location is quiet and pleasant, not sure what else is nearby as only stayed one night and were out elsewhere for that evening. Once you work out how to get back to Canary Wharf tube it’s easy… DLR even closer. Staff were friendly. Property is nicely decorated and clean. Didn’t have food there so can’t comment on the dining room or spa etc
Not much to be honest. Only slight gripe is the room controls for lights in particular are done via the app on the TV and that is fiddly and not very user friendly.. there’s nothing wrong with a traditional light switch guys. Also the app interface didn’t fit the TV screen properly so couldn’t easily use it. Oh and a few more sugars in the tea/coffee stash would be good but these are minor things!

Very friendly and helpful staff, they gave us an upgrade because it was my husbands birthday!

Spacious rooms, well equipped, nice restaurant in the basement, beautiful renovated old building with character.
The staff were all very polite, we booked a year in advance so also got a very good price.
The man at reception was super friendly and always made us feel we could ask for anything.

The door to the bathroom didn’t shut properly, and the room only had a window in the bathroom so was quite dark. There also isn’t a full length mirror which is could do with.

was greeted and welcomed by a lovely chap on the desk who was very helpful, chatty and just an all around nice guy! Nothing was too much for him!

the xurtains in our room were broken so couldnt shut them fully but they couldnt be fixed until the maintenance guy came back to work on the monday G02 (hopefully fixed now)

Staff were nice and attempted to be helpful in solving the property's problems. Room was clean and the octagonal suite was unique.
AC could not cool the room at all - it would blow cool air but not at a volume high enough to reduce the room temp below 24C. It also shut off spontaneously during the night despite not hitting target temperature. There were 3 different controls for the AC unit and all read different temperatures for both target and current room temperature - apparently the TV has the master control which does not match up with the typical guests assumptions. Wifi was horrid despite the high speed - frequent disconnects makes it unusable for work calls of any sort. Bathroom is quite cramped and the water flow is poor - water runs to only one of the sink or the shower/tub at a time.
