A cute (big) space with a great music bar
Pros:

I had the corner room so finally space in a Japanese hotel. Plus there were drawers and a cute desk.

Cons:

There was some confusion over breakfast and it seems like a specialist booking was required so even if you wanted to pay in the spot you needed to have reserved prior to that day.

Come for the excellent hotel experience, stay for that and the equally excellent music bar.
Pros:

The room was spacious and clean, the staff were super friendly and helpful, and its location made getting around the city easy. The music bar is an absolute highlight; it's usually closed on Sundays, so keep that it in mind when booking.

Modernes Hotel in ruhiger und gemütlicher Atmosphäre
Pros:

Wir hatten ein schönes und großes Zimmer im dritten Stock. Dort gab es eine kleine Küchenzeile und ein großes Bad mit Waschmaschine.Das Kaname Inn Tatemachi liegt ca. 1 km vom Kanazawa Castle und Kenroku-en Garten entfernt. Ebenso sind das historische Geisha Viertel und viele Einkaufsläden in der Nähe.

Ok, but not again.
Pros:

Good location. Clean bathroom.

Cons:

Old / run down in elevator, hallway, our room (701). No fully light-blocking curtains, always woke up with sunrise.

De kamer was top. Locatie ook prima we hebben alles lopend kunnen doen.

Cons:

De harde muziek in de bar was voor ons een reden om er niet te dineren en de muziekkeuze van de dj mag wel meer variëren. Super leuke bar maar je kan elkaar niet verstaan van de harde muziek.

A super quality hotel at a great price in a central location. I'd stay again!
Pros:

The Kaname Inn on Tatemachi Street in Kanazawa is a super little hotel and is a great place to stay in Kanazawa.
First impressions are good as the staff are welcoming, friendly and efficient, the room and in fact the whole hotel was very clean and well maintained, it's in a good location for an easy 10 minute walk to the museum of modern art yet it's on one of the main shopping streets too, and the bar is great fun.
Furthermore the room was a good size for a twin bed room, and the air con unit was super quiet. This might sound like a small detail but the night before we stayed in a hotel with a standard type air con unit and the difference was notable, and we slept so well during our stay at the Kaname Inn.

We think the price we paid for the room was very reasonable indeed and we highly recommend it.

Budget everything, low quality stay
Pros:

There is a small terrace on the 9th floor

No view, all double rooms face a wall - still noisy
Super small beds, not comfortable for two people
You can feel the cost saving measures on everything - the super thin toilet paper, room amenities, only one slow elevator, not serviced AC unit
Cramped, small bathroom
No place, shelves to put clothes except for a few hangers
