Rooms need a little t l c
Staff seemed eager to go the extra mile - a credit to you.
Food seemed pre prepared and heated up. I can have a ready meal at home!
Really nice place and very friendly staff. Room.was nice and clean.
No complaints come to mind
The breakfast and dinner meals were very nice and the room and bed were very comfortable.
The bedroom furniture had seen a few summers come and go but this was not a real problem.
Location and friendly staff
Could offer specials board each night.
Good selection of pre-hot breakfast food.
Lovely full English, heard another table being accommodated with off menu omelette selection.
Evening meal good selection reasonably priced with an additional smaller menu with competitive fixed price.
Good selection of J.W.Lees ale!
Rooms clean and spacious and great shower pressure!!
Nothing
The rooms, whilst a little 'tired' have real country charm, so no points deducted. Really good. Food was excellent as are the staff.
The plumbing is a littel antiquated, but works fine. No loo brush!
Location and the size of room.
The bed was awful, none of us slept well.
The Groes is in an excellent position, lovely comfortable rooms, delicious food and wonderful staff!
The location was rural but a great base for exploring Conwy and Llandudo. Bus stop to both locations within very short walking distance and the bus ride to Conwy is only 10-15 minutes. Staff were extremely helpful with any requests we had. We had a room with a terrace that backed onto a field of sheep, which was a lovely and unique experience. Sitting out on the terrace in such a remote setting is incredibly relaxing. Unfortunately it was cloudy during our stay, but on a clear night we can imagine how starry the sky would be for anyone who enjoys observing the night sky. Breakfast both mornings was of an exceptional standard.
Whilst the weather was nice at the time of our stay, the heatwave hadn’t begun yet but the room was stiflingly hot. A standing fan was provided but even that wasn’t enough to have the room cool enough for a pair of Scots.
Prima ligging, vlakbij Bodnantgarden !

Great breakfast, friendly staff
Location outlook and style of property. Rooms were excellent, with everything you could need.
Beautiful view, peaceful setting
Toiletry provisions were lacking. Entrance to rooms, in the stairwell needed a dust and clean.
We enjoyed the food, comfortable room with a great view and lovely big bathroom. I loved the fact that there wrre drawers and a wardrobe instead of just a hanging space and a few shelves which happens so often.
The staff.were genuinely friendly and helpful
Room furnishings were a bit tired but the same size room with updated furnishings would probably have cost much more.
Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff
The Groes was on a busy, main road, whereas the image showed a set back building. As the window had to be kept open in warm weather (no fan) sleep was disturbed.
On a very busy evening, food served had missing elements eg prawn &avocado salad had no avocado. A main meal offering spinach had no spinach!!! Other nights were fine.
We loved the location, the excellent service and the great food. The Groes Inn has a very relaxed vibe and nothing is too much trouble for the hard working staff. We woke to the local farmer using 3 of his dogs to herd the sheep in the adjoining field and nearly miised breakfast!! The location overlooking fields and hills is stunning. It was so quiet overnight too so we had an excellent nights sleep.
The room was a bit hot as the sun had been streaming in all day. Maybe close the curtains if possible earlier in the day?
