Loved everything about this place!
Pros:

Great stay all round - gorgeous room (very clean), comfy bed/pillows, lovely view from the balcony over the gardens, friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Probably one of the best I've had. Hope to return soon.

Cons:

Only one very very small criticism, we had the flat bed (bar food) and it wasn't flat at all plus it was so hard I couldn't cut it making it inedible.

Make sure you get upgraded room and eat early
Pros:

Grounds and common areas are very nice.

Cons:

The decor in half the hotel rooms is quite dated and as I’d used Booking.com was given an old room despite ringing the hotel the night before asking for a renovated room with twin beds- neither request was fulfilled. I raised this immediately and was advised no other rooms were available with twin beds .. I persisted and eventually they sorted a newly renovated room which was lovely but didn’t get to it until 1.5 hrs after check in so lost time form a one night stay and it was expensive so had to wait expected better standard in all rooms TBH.

Also restaurant stops serving food at 8.45 which is too early and no exceptions .. very strict adherence to this so don’t risk missing the deadline even for bar food.

Staff seemed very young and inexperienced.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Gardens beautiful well kept, inside needs some serious attention.
Pros:

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Beautiful well kept drive and gardens. Lovely setting.

Cons:

The breakfast area was too cramped and not fit for purpose. Cereals, milk, breads pastries were poorly stocked and poorly displayed and poor selection. The whole breakfast area was outdated and disappointing. The staff were under pressure and not enough staff to cover the area. I would suggest more of a self service area for guests to get their own teas and a good coffee machine self service. We went for breakfast at 9.30 on both days and food was already running low. Milk dispenser empty and juice dispensers low, no butter, no pastries, cereal bowls empty. We had to wait 20 mins for a family table for 5. The staff were doing their best but they were frustrated.
Bedrooms tired well worn, poor ventilation very warm as no air conditioning which is a problem.

Good value for money, lovely staff and breakfast.
Pros:

Beautifully decorated hotel, exceptional grounds, well kept.

Cons:

The rooms could do with a little modernising.
The facilities are also public, therefore it was quite busy with children when we used the pool. The outdoor jacuzzi was not open which was disappointing.
