my checkin experience was a complete mess! however the manager baz was amazing! however then upon returning home i was checking my banking and $800 was taken out of account without my permission now i hv to deal with this all over again

I attended an event in the adjacent event centre so it was great to be able to stay on site. It was close to the tram stop for travel into Melbourne CBD. Great LaManna supermarket across the road for snacks and other supplies. Spacious accommodation. Great shower and bathroom facility.
Strong cooking smell seemed to come through the air conditioning at times.
Great location to stay at if you’re attending an event.
Despite requesting and having it in writing, our sofa was not made into a bed, no extra cups, mugs ect. Although it was rectified quickly, staff were not very helpful, a smile wouldn’t go amisss.
Proximity to the event centre next door
I have escalated the fact that when i turned up to the hotel there was no staff members present to let me in. I rang the number printed out and stuck onthe front sliding doors several times with no answer. so at 3am unit 03:20 i attempted. I ended up removing my car from the car park and drove a further 2.5 hour home to regional victoria. I have called the hotel and spoken to duty managers who have referred my calls to the overall manager last friday. I was supposed to get a call from them today being the 23/08/26 but at 18:00 hrs nil contact made to me. I am requesting a refund to the $442 aus dollars or equal amount credit towards one of the Hyatt hotels in melbourne city as I will use it there. So far the expericne is absolutely awful and sub standard for any hotel.
