Casa Swell is SWELL Indeed!
Pros:

Wow what an experience! I had a lovely time at Casa Swell. It is a full on 2 bedroom apartment with just about everything you would need. It's very close to everything. You can easily walk anywhere. The manager was amazing and helpful in every way. She gave some great suggestions on eats and entertainment, and even helped me make a surf lesson and salon appointment. Marisa is the BEST! The overnight rate was excellent! Watch for their last minute deals!

Cons:

I will say the parking can be challenging at night when everyone is there. But its not a huge issue as there is parking on the street as well.

Total misrepresentation of this hotel on the booking as family friendly. HUGE security concerns in reality.
Pros:

HUGE MISREPRESENTATION OF WHAT THIS HOTEL REALLY IS!!! presidents as families friendly, calm beach location with direct walk to the beach. In reality you need to pass a bar and drunk guys to get anywhere from your room. There is NO WAY you can allow your kids to be more than a feet away from you.

We had to leave this hotel in less than an hour after we checked in.

Cons:

Security is a huge concern !!! Full of drunk people on your way from your room to front desk and to the entrance of the property. In addition to get to and from your room to front desk / main entrance you need to pass all dirty old back door areas of hotel food and other supplies storages, kitchen, kitchen sinks for washing dishes? Fish? When we were there drink guys were washing bloody faces after the fight.

Loved the location, right on the beach!
Pros:

I loved the location of this hotel. Being able to walk right out of your room to the beach was amazing. I liked that we had a secure place to park that was right next to the rooms. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable. We also took advantage of the beach massage the hotel offers for a discounted price to hotel guests.

Cons:

The bathroom was extremely tight, if you’re over 6’2” you won’t fit!
The attached restaurant is definitely in need of remodeling/fixing up, it’s very worn down. The neighboring restaurants started playing really loud music at 6am which woke us up every morning.

Lage, Lage, Lage !!! 😬 Also wirklich, raus aus dem Bett, rein ins Wasser. Zimmer sind gut, ältere Ausstattung aber sauber und alles funktioniert.

Cons:

Paar Mücken bei der Terrasse aber mit Autan/NoBite/Antibrumm klappt das super. Aber Sie (nicht die Mücken 😉) hocken am Abend sowieso am Strand 😅

Ein kleines spezielles Paradies mitten in Tamarindo, direkt am Sandstrand

Ein kleines Paradies mitten in der Stadt, direkt am Sandstrand mit eigenen Liegestühlen und Hängematten, wunderschöner Strand. Manchmal Besuch von Affen, Eichhörnchen und Leguanen. Klein aber fein, spezielle Zimmer mit Bett in der Hochetage. Liebevoll eingerichtet, Hotelier tut alles für seine Gäste, sehr sympathisch. Grosser Kühlschrank und die Möglichkeit, sich selber ein Costa Rica-Kafi zu kochen.
Lage im Zentrum , aber in einer kleineren Strasse. Shops und Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Cons:

Bad relativ klein, hat mich aber nicht weiter gestört, da ich nicht so gross bin. An Ostern relativ laut, viel Betrieb rund ums Hotel.
