We are vegan, so breakfast was not important. The location is nice
Washroom could be better
Just know this, it is a budget hotel and offer whatever best they can, for the amount you pay. The location is amazing, walking distance from train street and old quarters.
The rooms are small but clean, you may or may not get a window in you room, please also know that a window in room is a luxury in Hanoi. Washrooms are small but clean. Not very lavish but comfortable rooms. They rooms have lockers inside cupboard, but small wooden box locker.
Breakfast could be better, they have a basic one, but again looking at the price, I would not complain.
The receptionist is very helpful and even arranged a last minute trip to Ninh Binh (though it was expensive but worth it)
Would recommend if you are looking for budget hotel in Hanoi.
Stayed for 2 days on 11th & 12 Dec 2024
I booked this hotel perceiving as 3-star and also because of all the good reviews it shows up online. However, it's not. I had pre-booked their basic standard room for 1 night and upgraded room for 3 nights. Their standard rooms are extremely small, not suitable for even one person. The rooms are not properly cleaned on daily basis. The breakfast area is extremely small, far below average with very limited options. The washroom had bad smell.
It seems the hotel is not renovated since long time. Staff keeps asking for review and can also compensate the below average room experience by giving free or discounted rate for cab to airport. However, just asking for review won't work until actual renovation is done.
The only pros is the location. All the major attractions are nearby. Please don't go by reviews as most of them are not honest.
The staff is very accommodating especially Hannah. She gave us travel tips and assistance even before our trip to Hanoi.
The hotel is situated in a quiet lane and is peaceful, an escape from the noise, congestion and busyness of Hanoi. It’s a short walk to train street. The deluxe queen room with no window was small but still clean and comfortable. We upgraded to the double room with balcony when we returned from Halong Bay. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Hannah, Leo and the staff were helpful and friendly. They prepared takeaway breakfast for us when we had to leave very early for Sapa and stored our excess luggage while we were away. Overall, a pleasant stay.
Clean, comfortable, spacious
None
Very friendly & helpful staff
Breakfast choice limited
Toilet has no proper shower box, hot water mixer difficult to control
Noisy hotel due to a poorly covered/ insulated shaft. Bad smells and cigarette smoke from insensitive staff members loudly chatting & smoking away till 2am in the morning completely ruined our night's sleep. Wish bathrooms have a firm wall partition instead of moving glass doors & almost transparent blinds!
The location was perfect. Within the Old Quarters and walking distance to Hanoi Train Street. The front desk was open hours and we had a guy wait for us since we had to check in the middle of the night since we rode a night bus from Sapa.
Very limited breakfast options. The room was a bit tad small.
What we hated the most was that at checkout, the guy in charge at the front desk wouldn't let us go until we submitted a 5-star review of the hotel. We don't like the idea of being forced to give a high rating even if we were not satisfied with the stay. I told him that I would leave a review as soon as we were back home so I could be more detailed but he just kept on holding us up and insisting on rating them.
Location & room is big , staff was good
Staff behaviour and attitude. Andy was very helpful. He made it super comfortable for us. Always there to help. Hannah was supportive as well.
